It's not spelled backwards, it's played backwards. If you record yourself saying "Go, go, go!" and then play it backwords slowly it sounds somewhat like wort wort wort. With better equipment, it sounds exactly the same.

hahaha, this stuff is real funny, if you listen to "elite sound three" and listen to the last word he says as an elite it sound like he says shhnabibble( shh-na-bibb-le), wow, haha, thats great

Okay then what you people should realize is this. They got the Elite sound by playing english backwards, yes, but that doesn't mean that it is a direct translation. Wort wort wort, in the actual Elite language, for all we know may mean kill kill kill and not go go go.

with the reverse sound pitch adjusted it sounds like the guy that does sgt.Johnsons voice also does the elites voice

exactly so basicly wort wort wort is og og og which is recorded as go go go. so in other words we have been hearing og og og wrong the whole time! but still its wort wort wort to me..did that make any sence? it kinda confused me even...

yeah those are some pretty cool translations, and many people have seen them before. Halo.bungie.org has many cool things. It's a really good website for all the Halo tricks and miscellaneous things about Halo.
