Okay. Ive been getting extremely frustrated lately with the overly-popular halo 3 forum. So I was thinking, along the lines of the optimatch forum, create a Veteran's Forum. It would be for people that has either completed 1500+ games of halo (2 and 3) or have been a member for a set amount of time. Mostly the more mature people you see on here falls into one of these categories, so the forum would be bursting with respect and intellectual comments.

This is just an idea, so what are your thoughts on this?

A lot of people have their games on different profiles. How then will the forum determine that?

No subforums.

I'm going to use my analogy again.

Imagine you have a pile of crap (let's call it the Halo 3 forum) and you decide to smear it around (subforums). You just made the mess worse and harder to clean up (for the mods).

Are you serious? People with 1500+ games are more mature? I'm sorry, but I'm a college student with a job and extra organizations. I don't have time to rack up games after games of Halo for hours on end and there are many others in the same boat as me. You're saying that Timmy twelve year old who screams profanities in his mic for the 6 hours of Halo he plays a day is more mature than me?

Agree with Mousetrap. It'd just be a waste of space.

I agree with Mr Mousetrap. If you've got more than 1500 games, chances are that you are, in fact, less mature than most simply because you have so much time to waste. I'm not saying that everyone who has played a lot of Halo 3 is an immature imbecile, but that's a trend that is definitely holding true.

So I think Jun's a master chef, because he takes off his helmet and your like whoa, I think he's a chef.

So to shorten this up, Jun is master chef.

No point. Start a group for 1+ year old members if you want.

Never mind, that would make you a hypocrite since you haven't been here for a year.

Maturity cannot be measured in any way. It is a judgement and neither age, games played, or social stature can measure one's maturity.

Only problem is that most if not 75%+ have played over 1500 games so it wouldn't hardly eliminate anyone.

I don't really like the idea. I still like the idea of a montage sub-forum but don't see that happening.

Most people that can be bothered or have the time to reach 1500 games probably don't have the intellectual capacity you predict, seeing as they aren't doing work/studies in that time they must not have being smart at the top of their list.

For older members, then yes, place an age restriction aswell.

So now I'm a beta tester. Let's see where this goes.

As much as I hate the Halo 3 forum, I'm afraid to say that it's a necessary evil. The other forums get dumped on enough by threads that should have started in the Halo 3 forum, or the Classifieds (which needs a quick-link under the Community link) . I think that spitting it up would create more confusion and just make a bigger problem for the other forums.

I'm sure that keeping it all in the Halo 3 forum is best for now. I would love to see the number of bans and blacklists that come out of it daily. And what I wouldn't give to personally ban one of the jack-offs in there. Just one is all I ask.

Member date and duration has nothing to do with member maturity hence this wouldn't work.

As a lot of people said before me, "I agree with mousetrap". Let's not spread out the garbage, at least keep it in one place so it is easier to clean up.

i know what all of you are saying about the 1500 games thing, but what i meant by it was playing since halo 2 also. i mean, if someone has been playing halo 2 + 3 for a good 4 years or so, that MUST mean that they should be like 15+. Kids didnt get into video games that much back then.

Oh and to someone calling me a hypocrite, i have a different profile that has been here since september 06.
