Heck No! The flood added more depth to Halo's gameplay.

Don't forget to look both ways.

Umm...The Halo series is the flood.

It's like asking, "Do pickles ruin sandwiches?" And the answer is no.

No, and I don't know why a whole lot of reviewers seem to think this... The Flood lies at the center of the Halo storyline...

Also, pickles ruin sandwiches. ;)

I think the beef is - what was a virtually perfect experience became a messy, repetitive and often arbitrary undertaking with the introduction of Flood.
It was an ingenious one-up in the Halo story.
But...when it comes to replay, some people avoid Flood levels altogether.
Like picking the pickles off of a sandwich.

Well, for the people who like pickles, the Flood makes you think more about what you're using. For Covenant, you might take a plasma rifle and pistol, but with Flood you'll want a pistol and shotgun. You have to make a choice of what you bring with you.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

I'd say the idea of Gravemind killed the Halo trilogy there at the end in that new game.

I felt so at the end of Halo:CE, but once the sequels were released, I lost that feeling. I think it played nicely with the storyline and gameplay.

I always offer fair game and usually allow some "extermination" of my teammates. I think that anyone should be able to play Halo or any other game they please.

dude i was playing my pc version of halo today ad i find that a shotgun, pistol, and a rocket launcher against the flood is very affective but the shotgun and the pistol are the most effective and although the rocket luancher is powerful against the flood you should choose a pistol and a shotgun over the rocketluancher combo, not only becuase its an effective combo but you will run out of ammo for the rocketluancher faster because um well tell me how many flood do you see using a rocketluancher, pistol, or a shotgun. becuase they mostly use pitols and shotguns.
