With B.B. gone, the passion of Bungie.net has lessened.

A recreation of the Uneven Elephant (Sgt. Johnson is a bad influence on me). There'd be alleyways to hide in, it'd be big enough for vehicles, rooftops to snipe from, and, most importantly, it'd look frickin' incredible. "An Escher etching come to life." If you know his work, you'll see why it'd be very "tasty" eye candy.

One base would be the temple described in First Strike within the Heirophant, and the other would be located somewhere else (maybe just another temple). And it'd be cool if we could use the beam of light to help conceal us when we snipe, like Linda did.

Of course, it'd have to be altered so that we couldn't explore the whole "city" (duh... it'd be way too big). But it'd be bigger than Sidewinder.

Hell, it doesn't even have to be an MP map... I just want to see a place thats like it in Halo 2.

The problem is, for the those who haven't read First Strike (which would be people who are just getting into Halo) would have no clue about what the level is about and its connection to Halo 2.

Well, in that case, I advise all new people to go out and read the books when they get the time. Don't just skip to First Strike... you'll miss a lot and probably get confused.

Yeah all these people I know are just going out and reading First Strike without even knowing anything about Halo or the other two novels.
Not for me though. I've read Fall of Reach, The Flood, and First Strike all 2 times. Thats how good they are.

Man there amazing. When I was reading them I actually wanted to read instead of doing other things. Every detail is mentione, and they give a really indepth look into the Halo story.
If I were you I would go out and buy the 3 books now.

Very detailed...

They're quite possibly the best game-based books ever. They answer a lot of questions, and make even more.

Frankie said himself in OXM that you wouldn't have to read the books to know whats going on in Halo 2. It isn't entirely needed, but if you're into the Halo story (as I am) I suggest you read them.

Barron, I think that is an obvious one. Some people just don't know, eh?
