I hate it when i have to tell people after they vote to post something so the thread doesnt get lost in the back pages of the forums. I think votes should help keep a thread alive so people dont have to post in them.

If a thread has no depth to it people won't reply. Threads need to be interesting and people will reply provided there is a debate of some degree.

This feature isn't needed.

Im reffering to Questions are just a simple yes or no answer. For example Q:Do you like (_____) Insert something here.

why should people have to reply saying something along the lines of "yes" or "no" just so more people can see the thread and vote.

polls do not attract my attention much. I prefer expanding and creating a nice, solid discussion.

Agreed. If your topic is in enough interest to generate discussion, it will be bumped with replies. If not....then why try and keep it going?
