Yes, it will. The reasons why it will are that it will have better graphics, much more awesome online capabilities, and a huge consumer/fanbase.

There's no reason as to why they wouldn't. If JSRF comes in and says it won't, just ignore the poor bastard...

Yo Halo53, I'm real happy for you and I'ma let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best bungie.net profiles of all time. OF ALL TIME!

Is it possible? Yes. Do I think it will happen? Most Likely. If I new remaking a game for the computer would make me more money, I'd do it. Although I did buy Halo for my Mac, I wouldn't buy Halo 2, though because xbl is much better. That and the lack of an auto update on the mac version sucked.

as for halo 2 pc, the question isnt, is it coming out for pc. the real question is, when is it coming out.

Man, just face it halo 2 will never come to the PC. Bungie said so.Just let it go. I dont think we are at the cutting edge of gaming, Xbox and PC is just about dead even. Graphics go to the PC. Xbox is 4 years old.Controls, What ever you started at first. Me i started out on the xbox so thats why i think xbox is better with the controller. Xbox and PC are basicly the same. Most gamers dont have a supercomputer (me) and if i could have one, I would trade in my xbox in a second. They have the same games and every thing. But with the PC for the best graphics ever, you gotta upgrade ur graphics card and that is just not good for the average gamers without decent jobs. Plus the latest hardware is being put into the next generation consols anyway. Xbox 2 anyone? And PC's are so vulnerable to hackers and viruses.

There has been no official announcement regardless to Halo 2 going to PC so please refrain from lying since you don't have any source or any proof to support to what you're saying. There is nothing wrong with people wanting Halo 2 on the PC either so you should refrain from saying "let it go" and "get an Xbox" unless you want to be eaten and chewed alive by the PC people here. And also you should have learn by now that some people like playing it on the PC because of mouse and keyboard and also no Xbox live $50 dollar fee.

The Xbox uses Directx8.1 which is extremely behind to the PC's graphic directx9.0c, does it matter? It sure does, just look at the comparison between Chronicles of Riddick for Xbox and PC. You'll see the Xbox is blurry while the PC is more sharper. As for the controls, good job that you started on the xbox, unfortunately people in this forum uses keyboard and mouse for gaming and since Xbox doesn't anything like that, I guess we all have to say with PC. Boo hoo.

I build my computer less then 1200 and that included the monitor and the Logitech 5.1 speaker. But then you're using the computer not only for gaming, but internet and homework. And from what I got, my computer is a high end gaming rig.

Not really. Right now, yes they are being put in the latest hardware of today. However, by the time the Console is showing off at a convention show such as E3, there is already a newer video card, CPU, or other hardware that is already light years away because console development takes time since it is a mini computer. Besides, console is un-upgradable. Example was when Xbox was showing off Halo at the E3 convention, the Geforce 4 was already out ready to be release.

Xbox 2 anyone?

Probably not this time. The purpose I got the Xbox was for Soul Calibur 2 and Dead or Alive, but seeing there isn't anything good on the Xbox, probably not getting a console system anymore.

Humans are vulnerable to cold and flu, what else is new?

Although the XBox performs well for a lot of games, Halo 2 is NOT one of them...

Yes, I have owned H2 and I was dissapointed... so were a lot of other people. The XBox just can't hack it... if anything the XBOX ruined H2 by not being up to the job of portraying the game as it was meant to be!

I believe that H2 will be released on PC in the not too distant future aswell. I believe that apart from the obvious plan at the moment to sell XBoxes by Microsoft, there is something stirring in the background...

H2 needs a more powerfull system to run. Plain and simple! Let me ask you this... If H2 was your creation, would you be happy 1) ignoring the revenue from a release on PC when you know it would make you money... If nothing else I say is true, that is! Read the forums across the net... 2) Leave your game in an unfinished state... reputation is at stake along with big money... I'd want to show everyone how good in 'can' be. Not '...it's a bit glitchy and we had to cut a lot of it out, but hey, we don't give a -blam!-!'. Having that kind of attitude won't get you very far, and how long do you think a company treating it's customers like that would stay up there at the top?...

As for any confirmation about it's release, there isn't any. Thing that gets me though is bungie likes to be quiet about what it's upto. Whilst on the subject, they seem to have no problems saying when something isn't going to happen... With the H2PC question, they said 'no plans at the moment'. To me, that's almost as good as a yes and it will do me fine...

Just my opinion...

if u think it didnt perform well on xbox then why is it for Xbox and why did it make 125 million the first day. o yeah i have halo, halo2 and halo pc. Halo PC is fun but there r so many laggers and its not as fun. They were both meant for xbox.

I doubt it will happen. Firstly, Bungie has wiped its hands of all Halo/Halo 2 related work, and secondly, because Halo 2 on PC would not have uber extra features, because it would be unfair to xbox owners. In the time it took to make Halo 2 for PC newer games would have come out anyway, so PC owners would move on.

I could give a crap about the fued that's between Xbox and PC gamers, but I gotta admit I really hope they make Halo 2 for the PC so I can check out all the custom content and take in the undoubtably sic-ass graphics. I can aim way better with the mouse, but all the buttons are totally easier to press on the Xbox controller.

Do you think my specs would be able to handle Halo 2 if it ever came out for PC. I know there aren't any system requirements that halo 2 will need to run on PC but you guys know a lot about computers and I thought you might be able to give me a rough estimation of what kind of specs I'll need.

Hey Greenxpanda, if thats the specs on the bottom of your sig, then guess what, you're set to go with playing Halo 2 at its full glory. Most of the consoles tend to attack at the fact that we NEED a super high end card in order to play, but the truth is, you don't need such super power card to play. A good 9600XT is already great enough to play Halo PC at a great resolution so with your X700 you have there, you're set, that is if the game were to come out tomorrow or in 5 months.

PC users are over-inflated gamers, that have a major superiority complex. Every system has its pros and cons, but it doesn't mean that you have to attack a system just because you like another one more. The console wars strangely comes to mind when I see a PC user post something saying that they were doing this first. Just because PC games were the first ones to have online capabilities, doesn't mean that Xbox can't do them better. That's how things improve. I have been a PC user for a long time, but I don't see it as financially feasible to spend a load of money every couple years just so that I can see pretty graphics. As for controls and all that jazz, PC definitely has the one up with a mouse and keyboard and their online interface is usually much more advanced. Xbox however, is much easier to get into right away, and online games are generally devoid of major cheating, other than of that which is the game designer's fault. Truthfully, I don't see Halo 2 coming out on PC in the anywhere near future. But if it does, I think that's great. It's good to see Bungie expand and reach broader audience.

This is exactly how flames are started when one person has to say an offensive things to a community. Probably would be best to STFU rather then spitting out with the big mouth.

You just called the PC gamers "over-inflated gamers" and that looks like an attack on a system there. Watch what you post before saying the "Holier then thou" stuff.

Heyyo,

Buddy, Ekul pwned your ass. ;)

Anywho, we don't hate all $box players cause theyr'e not all retarded as the majority of the ones we see on these forums... we just hate the retarded ones is all. If ya wanna join the list? go on right ahead, if ya wanna be regarded as a sane $box gamer? all the more power to ya.

I read that someone said earlier that "Bungie has wiped their hands of Halo1/2 stuff" err.... no. Halo 2.5 is in the process of being made (pretty much Halo 2 but meant for $box2, their next big release game for $box2, it's only right that it be the same as their $box1..). And during the creation of Halo2, they started creating bits of Halo3.... so sry dude, that info's false.

Halo2PC isin't planned as someone stated, but odds are it's gonna be made anywho, I think it was Muff who said that, gj on that dude. :)

I once went onto teamspeak, and saw a channel say "halo xbox homies" and I went in for fun, and they were all like nerdy white kids pretending to be black... So at least I know most of these lam0rz are flocking to $box, and that makes my life all the better The PC genepool becomes less stagnant each day. =D

The only reason $boxes sell well is their advertising campaign. Half-Life 2 had no tv advertisements, just small online advertisements, yet it's currently one of the best selling PC games of this year, and is one of the best made games of all time? interesting eh? Halo2 was the opposite, massive advertising campaign, and the game diddn't live up to the hype. whoops! Bungie's probably trying to fix this with Halo2.5, and no wonder they created an updater for Halo2, so they can try and fix their errors with patches.

From what i know xbox live subscribtions cost like 50$ each year and i believe the starter kits cost about 70 dollars and thats for 12 months. atleast thats the price i paid for mine. but theres other xbox live plans that cost like 40 dollars but thats only for 3 months and it doesnt come with all the stuff the 70 dollar kit came with and plus its cheaper to go with the 70 dollar neways, you get more months with it.
