I've never seen an X-panda before. Are you all green? And are you born that way or is it the bamboo?

Nah I just thought the x between Green and Panda would look good. Plus I am a green panda.

If Halo 2 does come out for the personal computer, what would the dual wield be like? What key/button would you press to shoot the weapon in the left hand?

You could do it like Halo 2 does. The button that throws a grenade controls the left gun when dual weilding. You could use both mouse buttons.

Since you can remap the keys any way you like, this only makes sense. Though I tend to use Left mouse fire, Right mouse move. I'd probably remap my middle mouse button for dual wield.

512 RAM would do if it won`t get ported so miserably as Halo 1

Well, that's true.

Stalker is meant to be quite an awesome game. Games like this are going to mean that delays over Halo2's PC release are going to count against it, because PC FPS's are already advancing beyond it, not just graphically but in gameplay. Stalker and Half-life 2, aswell as the planned sequel to FarCry being examples of this threat. Incidentally, Halo 2's popularity has started to plummet, so I think Microsoft have missed their opportunity to cash in on the original release hype. This likely means they're going to delay and then attempt to whip up interested all over again, which won't be easy considering the scandal over Halo2's story or lack thereof, the restrictive multiplayer aspects like auto-server selection and statistics logging, and of course the 'genuine gameplay preview' videos of amazing action sequences which appear nowhere in the game. By the way I'm judging this by popularity polls for most wanted PC game, Halo2 in the last 3 months has gone from 1st to 3rd and now 6th, it'll be lucky to be in top ten for the next couple of months. It's certainly at the back end of my top ten, after the diappointment of buying the not-very-limited not-very-special edition of Halo2 for xbox. Oh, and I sure as hell aren't going to pay for xbox live just for 1 non-oustanding game.

Yes, but when? who knows......

bungie and microsoft games are both in the buisness of making money, and a halo 2 for PC would probably make lots of money.

however, in the interest of keeping the xbox live community alive and kicking, it wouldnt surprise me to see microsoft keeping halo2 off the shlef for a few years.

in any event, i still jope to this happen.

Heyyo,

...... I seriously don't see why you think Half-Life 2 is yucky. I pwns. Sure, multiplayer was a little underdeveloped, but the multiplayer mods in the makings will make up for it. There's already a coop mod in the makings, I think a CTF, and some other cool mod ideas.

They already made big headlines and money off the Xbox version so if Microsoft were to release it on the PC, its like "no big deal" since get them more money regardless its 1 million or 2 million dollars.

Heyyo,

I checked out that S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game, and wow, it seems kickass. They're apparently using an game engine called "X-Ray Engine" seems promising.

Storyline's pretty decent too, I'm sure with the uber-high quality ai they're making, it's gonna be a very interesting game to play in singleplayer. :)

I hope there's coop on this game, me n' me buds have been scavenging around forever looking for fun coop games. We do have a few, but we've beaten them, so we're always looking for more.

Doom 3 Coop's ok, but that game doesn't seem large enough to truly be fun coop... STALKER looks huge, so I bet I'd make for great coop. ;)

In S.T.A.L.K.E.R. you`l need to eat, drink, sleep and stuff like that and if you drink stuff like vodka the effects will be obvious...you`l need gas yo power rour vehicles and so on...plus the ai`s need to do those same thing...sounds beyond promising

What's with people not liking Half Life 2, possibly the best first-person shooter ever created to date? (Bare in mind I'm not considering STALKER to be a finished game before it's released. It might well be better but HL2 is #1 at the moment). Ok so Steam is a pain in the arse. So what? Steam isn't Half-Life 2, we're talking about just Half-Life 2 which is brilliant. I wouldn't consider a game with Two seperate multiplayer modes underdeveloped, it's just a little unoriginal. CS: Source annoyed some people, I can't imagine why considering it's the exact same game as the most popular computer game mod ever, just with better graphics. A lot of them moaned that stuff had changed or simply that it didn't run very well on their PC. Again I don't get this because with better graphics it runs smoother than Halo and with much lower pings. HL2: Deathmatch is a bit plain to be honest, but equally the maps are good and you're able to use the gravgun to throw... well, anything, at each other. Some examples include radiators and toilet bowls. Doom 3 was also described as dull or something similar, despite me not having played it I've heard it described on every occasion to be one of the best horror games ever made, and the graphics are certainly up to date too. Shame they're going to blatantly steal HL2's gravgun idea for their expansion pack, I couldn't believe it. Exactly the same operation just different skin effectively. The only thing Doom 3 lacks is an original or varied storyline. That doesn't stop it being awesome.

Alright the only reason I don't like half life two is because it scares the -blam!- out of me, ok?

Well, Halo:PC did suck, BUT,

because I got PS2 for Christmas in 2002 when Halo was released the year before, I couldn't return my ps2, but I could only wait for it to come out on PC.

I ran Halo-pc with my laptop, sony viao, 512 mb ram, 2.4ghz, 64 MB Video Card.

Now true, I had to put my details to low, but I had to play and beat it.

Playing Halo capagin was bull-blam!- for me. It froze at every scene where the flood or coventant crowded. It froze THREE times during the Flood video in that helmet, and, no joke, bSEVEN/b times on the "Gun pointed at the Head of the Universe" Scene as soon as I open the door.

But, Halo PC Multiplayer online was amazing. It went fast, and everything. It was awesome.

So, I am thinking they might come out with Halo2:ce, like halo:ce, because multiplayer online costs nothing, only have to buy the game itself. Boom, great massive online fun within minutes.

Who knows, could February 9th be Halo 2:CE day???

Hey, good point about the Feb. 9th thing. I think that if anything they wouldn't release it, but announce it. They always send games to review mags and stuff.

Halo for PC didn't suck if you had the right hardware. A laptop is far from ideal as far as gaming, unless you have 2000+ bucks in your wallet. I'd say that a 64MB card is too little. 128 is about right, and 256 is better.

Oh well, halo 2 on PC will run better than on XBox.

*Cough*

The reason why Halo PC sucks for you because you have a computer that is well below the minimum requirement so in the end since your laptop couldn't handle the game's graphic, it freezes.
