*rubs head* owwww... This city doesn't need anymore cocky jerks... if you lived here.. you'd know.

But I don't. Instead I live in New York and have had to put up with Yankees fans for years. Now I don't knock them all, I have a few friends who are Yankees fans and they're not bad, but on the whole they are the most arrogant and cocky fans out there. You could fill the team with little leaguers and Yankees fans will still be gloating about how the World Series title is theirs already even though its only spring training. So I know how you feel.

As for fans saying we, its just their little way of trying to vicariously share some of the glory of the team's accomplishments. Sort of like parents who get over-excited and their child's sporting event, they are living out their fantasies of sports glory through someone else. That and its quick and easy.

Oh yeah, I hear ya. It always seemed a little weird to me too even though I do admit to saying that sometimes. Then again sports tend to bring out the weirdest in people. Like grown men wearing plastic pig noses and dresses at Redskins games.

Eagles 26
Pats 10

Tom Brady is going to be complacent in his old age, and the Eagles defense will tear them apart. As soon as the old fart is shown the holes in his pocket, he's gonna get nervous, and start throwing erratically, resulting in a slow clock and an interception or two. Donovan will show them the meaning of multiple attacks, which the Pass Happy Pats won't be able to counter. Donovans own rushing over the past two years has been close to fullback yardage, and with Westbrook, Owens and Pinkston to watch closely, the Patriot defense will be thinned out considerably. Add into that list a TE that can catch, and I predict a long, low scoring game, with Eagles taking advantage of Akers often late in the game.

If anything, the score will be flipped and the Pats should win by much more. I am a huge Steelers fan and I was very sad to see them lose yeaterday like that. New England capitalized on all our mistakes and was near flawless. They played an excellent game. And they're going to do waht they did exactly last night and to the same thing to the Eagles. There is no chance the Eagles will come out on top. Stillers beat the Eagles 27-3! And dem Stillers beat the Pats 34-20 on Halloween. I see no hope for the Eagles. If it was the Stillers instead of the Pats, the Eagles would still get crushed. They're hopeless. Just face it, they are going to LOSE.

What have you been smoking ,the stealers had the NFL's No. 1 defense and the best power running game in football and the Pats distroyed them. What Brady getting nervous and throwing erratically, you don't watch Pats games do you. Brady is one of the most patient QB's out there he knows exactly how long he can wait and exactly where to though it.

Brady knows where to throw it and the three Pro-Bowl defensive backs for the Eagles know how to be in the right place to make a pick. Throw everything that happened in the regular season out the window, ignore the Steelers beating the Eagles and the Patriots. The Steelers were riding a rookie quarterback into the postseason against a proven postseason juggernaut and it showed. The Eagles are much better off on offense with Donovan McNabb at the helm, who will play much better than Roethlisburger did and not make any rookie mistakes.

Not to mention the fact that the Patriots haven't seen a defense like the Eagles, because no one has a defense like them. Jim Johnson will come up with every crazy blitz that he can to get players in Brady's face and make him uncomfortable in the pocket. I'd expect a few coverage sacks for Kearse and the Eagles LB's. Dillion shouldn't be a huge factor with Trotter patrolling the middle anchoring a staunch Philly run D.

On the flip side, with or without T.O., Westbrook will have to carry a huge load coming out of the backfield against a solid run D and splitting out at receiver. With Chad Lewis injured rookie LJ Smith will have to step up huge as will receivers Freddie MItchell and Greg Lewis. As for Todd Pinkston, well he has to stop being afraid of going over the middle and getting hit before he can be considered a legitimate threat again. The Patriots are missing some key players on defense but that hasn't stopped them yet and it shouldn't now, not with a week off.

In the end this game will most likely be decided by a field goal just like the last two Patriots superbowls. The only question is will Vinatterri or Akers be nailing it through the uprights as time expires.

I live in Massachusetts, so I love the Pats. People are just mad because the Steelers lost and pick the Eagles because they are still a team in Pennsyvania. It would be incredibly hard for the Eagles to win because:

-They have no Owens, or Chad Lewis who was also good. Unless Owens comes back and I don't know if it would matter anyway.

-Westbrook who? He isn't even the best back in the league, Bettis is, and the Pats stopped him last week.

-Face it. McNabb is not as good as Peyton, and the Pats held him to 3 points.

-Pats beat the best offensive team in the league, and perhaps the best ever? And they held them to a mere field goal.

-Pats beat the best defensive team in the league. And they scored 41 points off them...

Bull -blam!- ok ill admit that the Patriots were good but not better then the eagles. The eagles r gonna win the bowl no doubt about that. By the way brady sucks

Okay. That's why the Steelers had the #1 running game and deffence. Then the Pats come onto their home field and celibrate for a second time.

As for T.O. I think he'll only be put in on certain cituations. From all the touchdown catches I've seen him get on SC he'll fall right on his bad ankle and be out for te rest of the game.

Uh no. It will be a win by the Patriots by a land slide. Somewhat like yesterday.

The Pats have an injuried riddled secondary which hasn't been tested this postseason. Sure they faced the best offense in the league but their pass rushers never gave Manning the chance to get settled in the pocket and plant his feet to throw. McNabb doesn't have to do that, he is a mobile quarterback who can throw on the run. Just look at what he did to the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. Scrambled outside of the pocket for a ridiculous amount of time before uncorking a perfect strike 20+yards down the field.

Plus Bettis is not the best back in the league, he is the biggest. Curtis Martin was the best back in the league, with Shaun Alexander a close second. Bettis didn't even crack 1,000yards this year, he's just hard to bring down.

Not to mention, the lack of Owens, and even Chad Lewis shouldn't matter. Pats fans especially should realize that its the team that matters not one player. The Pats lost Ty Law, Tyrone Poole and Richard Seymour and still beat Indy and Pittsburgh. And Philly lost T.O. and still beat the Vikes and the Falcons. The only players that matter are the ones that are playing.

Eagles 24, Pats 21

Oh, and number one defense, and stats like that don't matter. I'm sure you Pats fans all remember a certain Monday Night game against the lowly Dolphins. Stats be damned, the game is still always decided on the field.

Well I guess the Pats fans win this argument.

Hardly, the Steelers offense isn't as strong as it was in the 80's and many people seem to forget that, the stats are good for something but not much -- The Steelers had an easy season, of course their defense is going to look good, but it's nothing compared to what the Buccanneers had 3 years ago and what the Eagles have now.

Offense wins games, but defense wins Championships.

The Patriots are going to have a rough time overcoming the Eagles.

Real rough.

I'm sorry, but look what the Eagles did to the Vicks -- I mean -- the Falcons.
Tom Brady is nowhere NEAR as agile as Micheal Vick. I think someones going to have a rude awakening.

The Patriots may still be able to win, but it's not going to be because of Brady. It'll be a running game and a strong kicker.

Good Luck to both, but GO EAGLES!

Wow, I cant believe some of the things I've read in this thread since I posted last.

1. Since when is Brady old? He's like 26 or 27 at the most...this is his 4th year as a starter.

2. The Pats injury-riddled secondary hasnt been tested? What do you call the Colts????? The BEST passing attack in the history of the NFL, and they got squashed!

3. The Pats linebackers and ends are some of the best in the NFL at keeping mobile QB's in the pocket. Rosy Colvin, Willie McGinest and company know how to keep a guy like McScabb in check.

4. Bill Belichick, thats all I need to say right there. The smartest and most incredible coach the NFL has seen since Lombardi.

5. Mistake free football, its what the Pats play in the post season, take a look over the past two superbowl runs. The turnover ratio is something crazy like 15-1 during the playoffs.

6. Adam Vinateri, he has ice in his veins. I wouldnt be suprised if he wins yet another superbowl for us...that is if the Eagles can keep it that close.

7. Corey Dillon, they dont call him Clock Killin' Dillon for no reason. He'll exploit the weak Eagles run defense all day long.

8. 4 above average receivers plus 2 pass catching TE's, too many targets for the Eagles to cover defensively.

9. Tom "Jesus" Brady, the smartest QB in the league will bait the Eagles secondary all day long.

I could go on all night but I'm too lazy to keep going. But hey, keep underestimating the Pats...we're only 1 more win away from being a legitimate dynasty.

Thank you EbonPraetor. Now I don't have to type that much for Jim.
Look at the NFC period, not just the Steelers. Most of them are easy. Just look at the Bears-Browns game. That's just plain bull. Falcons didn't even have to try againtsaint Luas. Then Phily only got off a 17 point win. Patriots on the other hand won by a land slide.

I origionally wanted the Steelers to win, but those choke artists got their asses handed to them. So I gues ill go with the eagles. Even though the Detroit Lions are gonna take the NFC next year...................................................just kidding, but hey you never know what will happens if they get rid of that little -blam!- Joey Harrington.

1st and foremost, you don't even have your divisions right flamechu.

And Tom Brady is 27, and looking more long in the tooth every day. He's getting old for an NFL player. Nowhere NEAR as old as someone like, say Jerry Rice, but Jerry Rice has to play to finish paying off his -blam!- debt.

The Eagles have a consistently good team, something most others can't claim.

The top three rushers this postseason are Corey Dillon, Warrick Dunn, and Brian Westbrook. The Eagles Defense shut down Warrick Dunn already. All the Patriots defense had to worry about was Bettis, another ailing old feller. As for Passing, Donovan McNabb is ranked 4th in the Postseason. Where's Brady? Theres only 8 QB's to contend with, he's not as good as his namesake. He's better be looking over his shoulder for Burgess and Kearse. They've already got 4 sacks in 2 games for this postseason.

Seriously, you must live in Boston to think that the Patriots defense compares with the Eagles. 3 Pro Bowl caliber players. Look at it this way, according to NFL.com, the Philidelphia Eagles are ranked 7th offense and the Patriots are ranked 10th offense overall.
Eagles are 1st Defense and Patriots are 4th Defense overall. Not that numbers mean much, but they seem to trash most of your ideas about the Patriots being the better team. The patriots are good, but the Eagles have played better this season, and they've had a harder schedule.

All of you guys are spouting out stats that dont mean anything. Oh no a team that plays in snow is gonna win and is favored because they run the ball more. HAHAHAHAHA sorry to the Falcons fans. Can someone say proven incorrectly???? Stats dont mean crap for the superbowl, the Eagles and Pats can play their hearts out and still be in gridlock at 0. History is always made in the Superbowl. Honestly, if stats were correct then the Colts would be the Superbowl champs this year, but look who's out. Sorry to burst your little stat quoting bubbles but its a game that will be full of unexpected moments. To the best team win, but save the beer for me.

The Buccaneers will always be my favorite...

The Eagles are a distant second favorite, but I think that comes from living 40 minutes from Philly.

My third favorite team is whoever is playing the Cowboys that week.
