File Share - Check out my latest map Paradigm.

Halo CE is multiplayer only and was made so you can play custom maps that people created. You can find the download at this site, http://haloworld.halocity.org/, and also download custom maps.

There's a list of mirrors here.

Main differences:
ability to make and play custom maps
"F2 Badass" -- press F2 to see gametype rules (i.e. how many flag caps to win, etc.)
"Show bros." -- press F3 to see names above all your teammates' heads all the time (F3 toggles it on and off)
improved netcode -- reduces lead distances and warping
"fast shaders" -- improved graphics performance. Some computers see up to 60% framerate increase. Mileage may vary.
Rocket Warthog aiming is now more accurate when moving.
Assorted bug fixes

As you probably know, it's free for HaloPC owners, so there's no reason not to give it a go. :)

When you download it, be sure to check out Cliffhanger and Fissure Falls, two new user-made maps that are a buttload of fun. I made another thread on this forum with links and screenshots.

Probably a lot less time than you waited for this response. ;)

In all seriousness though, it will depend on what kind of Internet connection you have. I seem to recall it being about 170MB in size, so with broadband that may take anywhere from minutes to a couple hours. On dialup, you could feasibly set up the connection overnight and wake up the next morning and have it downloaded, although if this is the case I would just recommend downloading it at your leisure with a download manager (so you can stop and resume the download and be dropped from your ISP without breaking the download). Or, if you have a friend who has a fast connection, just have them download it and burn it to CD.

In any case, go check it out. It's worth whatever wait it may take. :) It's the only discernable future of Halo multiplayer online. And TalkingElmo knows what he's talking about when he suggests maps. They're so much fun!
