Where to start.....

In late January a user sent another user a threatening/attacking PM, and after the matter was turned into a public ordeal the moderating staff reluctantly banned their friend(the user sending the PMs.)

I'm not very active on this site, with the exception of the optimatch forum, where I enjoy giving my input and reading the ideas of others, and while myself and this user had various run ins, I never expected things to grow to this level. He sent me a rather nasty PM when it was brought to his attention that I agreed with the user who he attacked, so I in return told him that it was clear the other user was right, that the moderating staff had confirmed this, and that he needed to stop attacking other users via PM, especially when it was what he was originally blacklisted for. Then, in a lapse of judgment I also asked for his feelings on his consequences. He then sent me this in return.

Like I can't use ALT accounts like you kids? Give me a break. Having this account temp-banned was a joke, especially since I know all the moderators. You really think they would temp-ban me especially when they knew Rawpower was an ALT? Come on. I thought you kids thought you were smarter than that.

Here is a screenshot, the text is still selected from the copy paste into this thread. And obviously, I used the spray can in MS paint to cover the name of the user in question.

He brings up the fact that his ban was a joke, that he knows all of the moderators, etc. which is why the original thread was made into a public issue, and the larger reason for people being upset with the staff on this issue.

I know this is a repeat of a repeat of a repeat of a repeat topic, however this brings direct evidence, and is only posted due to the fact that the other 1 million have accomplished nothing. The best way to stop repeat threads is to fix the problem, so I'm posting this thread in hopes that behavior like this will strongly be condemned by the moderating staff, that users who attempt to use their friendship with moderators will be severely scolded, and in hopes of bringing this type of behavior to an end.

Old school Bungie, born and raised,
In the Septagon is where I spend most of my days.
Relaxin', maxin', posting all cool,
Talking about Halo, life and some school.
Got in one little argument, and the mods got scared,
they said "You're gonna get banned and your member title'll be bare!"

Just let Berserker Barage alone. He gets cranky sometimes. Yes, he's a jerk for attacking people, and perhaps he gets a little leeway/preferential treatment from some, but old, rusty, useless metal is only kept lying around until you get cut by it and have to get a Tetanus shot; it's promptly discarded of soon after.

There has always been moderator bias, and you'd do the same if your friend was being a jerk. You can't tell us you wouldn't cut that person more slack than some random stranger causing trouble.

Is it right? Probably not, but as in the real world that's life. Getting all worked up about fair treatment on a video game forum should be somewhere near the bottom of your worry list.

Oh please don't bring this up again.

I hope a gets rid of specific user info straight away this time.

This is a thread about a specific user, and really should have been private messaged to a moderator instead of posted on the forum.

Thanks for the heads up though. We'll look into it.
