Subject: Bungie Doesn't Like Safari

I try to reply to a post earlier to help some guy out with his NAT type problems. I have the samething and fix it was trying to help out the poor guy. But everytime I try to post with Safari it never works, I have to go to my desktop and post it with IE. Do any other Mac users have similar problems. Sure this thread doesn't belong here but it is the only place I could post this with Safari and it worked for once.

I never had any problems using B.net with Safari. I go back and forth between Safari and Firefox. Each one does something a little better than the other and I'm just fickle about it, but whenever I get on B.net with Safari, I never have any problems. Have you tried resetting Safari?

Click the Safari drop down menu > Reset Safari > Make sure everything is checked (you can uncheck stuff like saved passwords if you want, I just leave everything checked) > Click OK

Also, I get on Bungie.net at work using my iPhone. I work at a call center so we're not allowed to use the computers for personal use, but my supervisors don't care if I use my phone.

Hope that helps.

I'm so good at Halo, Chuck Norris has me as an avoided player.

It's been stated that Bnet is optimized for IE7 and Firefox2. Thats it.

Yes, but Safari's (WebKit) rendering engine is fairly similar to Firefox's (Gecko). The main problem with Safari has always been its crappy Javascript engine. Recent versions have improved this, though - so make sure you're running the latest non-beta version of Safari. If you are, email your website bugs to bnetbugs@bungie.com with full repro steps and include the browser and platform you're running on.

Safari is perfectly fine running B.net. Try resetting safari, which should clear everything off the browser and make it like new. Also check for newer versions.

I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that.

Opera FTW!

Pssh, who actually likes Safari?

Nearly the worst browser I've ever had to endure, second only to Camino, maybe even Konqueror. (back in '99)

So I think Jun's a master chef, because he takes off his helmet and your like whoa, I think he's a chef.

So to shorten this up, Jun is master chef.

I know. It makes me a bit angry when I want to use special characters, but I can't. I have to boot up Firefox and everything and it pisses me off sometimes.

It's not an extremely urgent issue, though. I'd rather have unavoidable things fixed first.

For the several minutes that I had Safari, which I installed purely for experimental purposes and uninstalled almost immediately, I didn't have any problems. Although I didn't like the compulsory font change.
