I have never really enjoyed remakes of maps, except for Last Resort (Zanzibar from H2), which was sufficiently edited to ensure a new style of gameplay, and the spiritual successors (a la Santrap/Relic, Guardian/Lockout (i know its not a remake damnit!) (Always thought The Pit was like an opened-up Turf) and Construct (Colossus?) and Epitaph (somewhat similar to that H2 map [the one with the rock-able bridge up top. Its not the same.. which is good.)
I refuse to acknowledge Valhalla and Standoff (though good maps in their own respect) as Coagulation.
However, Avalanche looks great. I hope that Bungie has managed to fully integrate Blackout into a Halo 3 style of play. I remain optimistic. However, i remain sidelined when it comes to forgeability. Lots of smaller maps just dont have enough potential for forge.
So, while i'm here, i wish for a hell of a lot more DLC releases besides "Mythic" and Legendary, and a larger map (Sandtrap/Relic/Wzaterworks/Headlong style) that retains the same amount of forgeabuility as foundry (Yay vehicular combat objective games) (Once again i refuse to acknowledge Standoff, it seemed that there was a vaccum of combat on silos 1 and 2's surrounding area..
It probably will never happen, but, well, i live in hope.
