I just bought myself Halo PC about a month or so ago and already I've run into problems. Everything is fine, only my first player profile was mysteriously deleted for some reason. And my second. And all the progress on my current profile was lost, too. I was only half-way through level #2 when I went to go to the bathroom, and when I come back, Halo is gone, my desktop is in some weird resolution and the computer itself froze up.

Another time when I beat a level a was in the process of loading the next level the screen went white and locked up. I have absolutely no idea why this keeps happening to me.

Help would be appreaciated. I don't know if this is in the right forum, so excuse me if it's not. Thank you, Viper SRT-10.

Please give system specs, especially graphics card specs.

Anyone who has a problem, you need to post system specs first (not directed entirely at you, just anyone w/questions.)

It may be corrupted files or low RAM.

Viper, its your computer, not the game. My advice: get a new computer, right now, your is appearantly a POS.

Oh, and SpartanSeraph? You are so screwed, completely and utterly, I suggest you hand yourself over to the authorities right now, before Bungie gets their hands on you. I am not joking.

Heyyo,

*sighs* synth, sure, getting a new comp always helps, but not everyone's made of money man...

Anywho, if you have Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed, you may need the fix for it, go back to the main part of the maw forums, and look at the sp2 stickey.

Other than that? does anything pop up when you try and restart the game?

Missing profiles are usually caused by your "my documents" folder acting as "read only" to change this, right click onnit, and go 'properties'. Then uncheck the 'read only' box, and if a window pops up if you just want the folder or subfiles? say for subfolders and subfiles.

Heyyo,

Well, he did admit that he downloaded HaloPC, so yep, if you hand yourself into the authorities, they usually lower the amount of cash you get sued for, by around 15%! :)

This is a RETICULE, and that is a RETICLE. I'm using the latter to aim. And what are you using?

What's Bit torrent?

A bit-torrent client is comparable to a P2P (peer-to-peer) client like Kazaa, but works a bit different in ways of distributing and receiving files. Anyway, it's highly suspicious if not flat-out illegal.

Stupidity at its best!

Just because some honest people use bit-torrent clients to distribute legal software (stuff they made themselves, games and movie trailers, freeware, etc.) doesn't mean that everything you download is legal. Wake up, dude!

Anyway, I'm not willing to help someone with a piece of software he acquired illegally, and I would ask fellow members to do the same. End of message.
