I have not because I Halo CE has issues with my graphics configuration apparently. A problem that was fixed in Halo PC when I updated to 1.06. Unfortunately Halo CE is not supported and will not be getting updated and I'm not comfortable messing with my graphic drivers on this laptop. ATI doesn't have downloads for updated drivers and stuff for the mobility card because they say that you should use the one given to you be the manufacturer. So that's what I do. :)

Right, here we go again...

Halo CE (Custom Edition) is a stand alone version of Halo PC. It has no campaign mode but is all about multiplayer... Instead of just the normal maps that you get with Halo PC, with HCE you have all of those standard maps and approx. 300 custom user created maps aswell. Not all of the custom maps are particularly wonderfull, but I promise you that if you look around a bit, you will find more than just a few that you will like...

As for places to get it along with the maps, try out my site... and it has a faster download rate than a lot of the other sites out there...

Enjoy!

Halo Impulse

Download their mappack. It's over 200 maps. The game takes 5 min. to load up, but it's worth it!

Oh and of course muffmeister's website...

I used to play it all the time until I bought my ATI x700 and now it won't run.

Yeah i have switched over. Thats how i have gotten some of my best screenshots (devmode) and so some cool stunts n stuff. I also like the ability to create maps and download new maps (btw, does anyone know how to get the Halo Editing Kit to work?).

I can't get it to work still. I uninstalled everything, even the installation packages and then I went to www.muffmeister.co.uk and redownloaded it but when I told it to open, it said: Error, something about corrupted files and so it could not be opened.

Heyyo,

Panda, try upgrading to the latest ATI drivers, the catalyst v5.1 drivers: http://www.ati.com

LAos, make sure you delete any drivers from your previous videocard, I have a feeling they're interfeering with your current videocard.

The first time I tried CE, the mouse was messed up big time, so it was difficult to select items, and if I actually started a game, I kept moving forward and couldn't stop. Anyways, I downloaded it again a few days ago and had the same problem, so I disabled my joystick from the command line with the "-nojoystick" switch, and it works just fine now. Haven't tried it on line, yet.

On another topic, I have to say that the New Mumbasa Classic is just about the best user made map I have ever seen. Very few flaws or things I would have done differently (if I made maps, that is), superb!
