I STRONGLY urge you to let OTHER PEOPLE play the map and not just Bungie people (get the MLG kids to come in again?) and then after doing this PLEASE take the advice and WORK with it to make IMPROVEMENTS.
...
Bungie you don't take constructive criticism well because you immediately think it's all coming from pricks who don't mean well. But I urge you to do everything in your power to not ruin a Halo 2 remake. You will disappoint many fans and many, if not already, will quit, because this is their one last hope for redeeming this game (new maps) - I know this holds for me and many people I know.
Wow. What do "MLG" people have that other regular players don't have that makes their opinion somehow more important than everyone elses? Also, how can a SMALL percentage of Halo players speak on behalf of the entire community? I think the map shold be distributed somehow to friends of bungie, ie people who don't play that much and aren't really that serious about it.
It seems to me that too many people place too much emphasis on this MLG thing. Just play the game FOR FUN. anyway....
I'm sorry this map is not a verbatim, 100% identical remake of lockout. It shouldn't be, because this is not Halo 2, and this map is NOT Lockout. Lockout can only be found on your Halo 2 disc. So, if this disappoints you, throw in your Halo 2 and don't play Halo 3. This game is different from Halo 2, so get used to it. Too many people just want to sit here and complain that this isn't a prettier version of Halo 2, it's totally different. That's what happens when a game reaches a new iteration, especially on a new generation system.
Here's a wonderful idea: Try playing the map before you say you don't like it. *GASP* I know, I know, crazy, but still, try it. I know I can't wait for these maps to come out, I'm uber excited for the new Sidewinder, and the new Lockout is just a bonus. I also like the new version of zanzibar.
Face it, Halo 2 is old news. It's over, done with. The emphasis was on duals in Halo 2. Now the emphasis is on mid-range combat. Blackout will be a welcome addition as a smaller map, with closer quarters for more chaotic combay. BRING IT ON!!!
