Subject: I need help with a new community website. Help me find a name!

With Bungie's new idea of groups sending in Bungie favorites, I am planning to start a completely community based website. Now I need a good website name. Any good suggestions may turn into a Halo Household Name!

EDIT: It will be a .com name.

Owners of the Katana: A place for those who have a Katana or over 1000GS in Halo 3.

Somewhere out there... in an alternate reality... Marty decided to stay in the ad jingle business, bringing about an age of amazingly orchestrated Pampers commercials.

I dunno.

The Ring, perhaps?

We have a winner. I just bought this domain. Look forward to it being in use for the future.

Hello.

Ahhh, ye good ol' website creating. Before you start you got to make sure that your website has a "catch" or something that keeps visitors returning. Having your site specialize in a specific part of the game or Bungie universe is a good way to do this.

The golden rule is:
Make it unique or make it better.

If you just make a plain community based Halo site I can tell you now failure will be the end result. If you decided to go with that anyway you would be competing with HBO and other places that have been established since Halo was born.

Traffic sources are also a massive part of making a successful community. Don't think that when you create it people will know about it and naturally flock. Google is your biggest friend when it comes to this. If your building this site from scratch make sure you look up "Search Engine Optimization Techniques".

If you have little experience in programming I would suggest downloading and installing a content management system like php-fusion or Joomla. An attractive site is a good site. As for a name, make sure you get something catchy yet related to the overall goal or purpose of your site.

Let me know if you need any assistance with anything.

Its a group designed around Bungie Favorites. You did however post a very interesting reply, and I may be seeking your possible assistance in the future.

EDIT: Joomla! is probably the greatest thing since PHP 5.
