I havent played Halo PC for a while now, but i finally decided i was going to play again. One problem though, I have to download a patch. every time i try to go online with the game it always says,"You must have administrator privelages to download this patch" I checked my account on my computer and i am an administrator, but still get the same message everytime.

I'm running windows vista on a brand new computer, so i dont know what the problem is.

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Do you have UAC enabled or disabled?

Try it with it off.

I disabled mine the first thing when I installed vista because it's a pain in the butt, and I know what to install and what not to install.

One thing with Vista is while it says you are admin you really aren't, your just a user. Right click on the shortcut and click properties then go to compatibility tab and check mark run as admin then hit apply. Done, :).
Unless you know what your doing, disabling UAC isn't a good idea, its part of the security of the operating system. Once you use Vista mare it wont bother you as much unless your making actual system changes.
