And now your suit would weigh 20,000 pounds. You get shot, you fall over because your center of gravity isn't in the right spot. The elites laff at how ridiculously you look, and then run you over.
But it's a good idea, I like it!

I would have the energy sword come out of the suit itself. Or a shorter version of the sword. It could get its power from the shield generator.

First, I'd like to be realistic and say that if the people who made the armor could double the sheilds, they would have. Secondly, the current suit is rather "form fitting" in that it doesn't have a mini rocket launcher popping out of the arm and stuff like that. The silhouette of the suit still is recognizable as human.

Now, realistically, they should have built in holsters to hold more than just 1 extra weapon. He should be able to carry a sniper rifle and a shotgun and carry a BR in his arms. The grenade amount is realistic, the weapon, not. Heck, Sigourney weaver carried like 4 weapons with her on the 2nd Aliens movie. A flamer, Assault rifle, grenade launcher and something else and her character wasn't even modified.

He can also run with the BR in his hands. It won't look THAT weird. He'll look like a steriotypical soldier hurrying to get to another place. Also weight won't matter that much. If he weighs a half ton(?) the weapons total with the grenades will add up to only 200 more pounds MAXIMUM.

Now, unrealistically, he should have nanobots that automatically repair him in his bloodstream. The bots should also be able to repair his armor. They can travel in that hydrostatic gel. Finally, his suit should be configurable for different missions, like a FOF beacon for rescue ops, dropchutes for Orbital jumping and explosives backpacks for demolition.

Finally, auto cannons would be so awesome!

Go back and read my post. I edited it. And did you rip that off from me, Terradyne, or do we both read too much sci-fi?

By the way, nanites are not unrealistic they're already working on them.

My apologies for repeating your nanite idea Terran. It took me so long to write that that I didn't see your post.

But they say, great minds think alike.

I'm guessing you don't know what 200 lbs feels like. Now imagine holding bags of sand strapped to your arms, chest, and back, while running at 15 km/hr in a spacesuit minus the oxygen tank.
BOTTOM LINE, IT ISN'T EASY!!

The dude can carry up to 4 tons. I mean he can almost throw that warthog into the air. 200 pounds isn't that much difference.

If the Chief we're going to have an integral weapons system inside the MJOLNIR, he'd probably need to use a prosthetic limb with the weapon built in. Anyone here seen GITS: SAC? There was an episode with a girl who had a 10 gauge shotgun built into her right forearm - and it was completely concealed. It would make sense for a saboteur to have that, but the Chief isn't exactly subtle so I think he should just carry his weapons.

In response to the suit configuration idea: he only needs an ass-kicking configuration. As far as I know, the SPARTAN-IIs are very flexible warriors who can adapt quickly and easily without equipment mods. Besides, they are primarily designed for "fire-and-forget" deployment as I call it; you let them loose in a combat zone and watch the purple blood rain.

Good point, but they just make it like that because it would really take him a minute or so to flip it back over. In the game, the warthog weighs 6500 lbs and he throws it in the air aprox. 15-20 ft. So the MC can apply a force of atleast 975 N. (That force weighs 97500 grams or 975 kg. A kg weighs 2.2 lbs meaning he is pushing with a force of 2145 pounds) I think those caculations are correct:). But that makes me wonder, if he is so strong, they howcome it takes 2 melee attacks to kill a marine or an elite? I think the MC takes steroids.

He purposely uses weaker melee attacks so he can watch the enemies suffer. That sadistic bastard!

Also, his first occupation was a chiropractor, so you know, old habits are kinda hard to forget.

For my suit I would have some kind of air disrupting sensory vision device in the helmet I could toggle on and off. (push white button, I could do without light) so I could spot out invis guys. MC suits already have thermal cloaking so you couldnt use that. I also like the idea of some kind of plasma sword that could come out of the fore-arm. Maybe half the size so I could swing it faster like you do when you melee with plasma pistol.

My science teacher is a chiropractor...But the MC as a chiropractor would scare me because he would still be as strong as he is now seeing as he was genetically engineered.

They may be smarter, but you can melee one from behind, put a sticky grenade on another, and then just shoot the others. I get a lot of practice from the Silent Cartographer.

If you couldnt flip it over you could never use if it was upside down, I think they did that so you could keep using it, dont take that too literally.

it says in the book the brute is stonger then MC, now think about this for a second here- MC flips a tank....A TANK. put your min dback into reality for a sec here.....A TANK. Oh yea and he doesnt flip it with his hands either, he uses his mind. If you don't belive me watch the animation of him doing it for yourself.

The Scorpion weighs 66 tons (132,000 lbs). And I didn't know that you could flip them.

MC wasnt genetically enginered he was augmentated on his mucsles bone and skin nano cells would be a good thing and why didnt they put that in the game i mean come on the year 2552 they'd have nano cells in use all the time by then plus MC should of been alot stronger with new elements found and would of been added to his body like his skin to be bullet proff thus making them ricochet off of it and you know what the people who made up this game (halo that is) should have thought about the year 2552 and from the technoledgy we have today what would it be like in the future.

The only reason they made the Warthog flippable is because they made the handling suck so that it would fall over often. It would be more realistic if the MC puts down his gun, picks a spot on the Warthog to hold onto, and pushes it over, not hurling it into the air.

The nano cells could work because there is an electric current running through your body. That would give them their power. And by the year 2552, we would probably have armor that can reflect bullets back at the shooter because now, scientists have found a slugs or snails "slime" to be extremley strong (I don't know if this is correct, but I think a .1 mm thick strip of it can hold several hundred tons), so we can only imagine what they could use that for. So in Halo 2, you could just cover your suit in this slime and be impervious to projectile damage. Ha Ha Ha!!!
