Yeah I'm just torn between electric and manual. The manual set-up I am looking to get is a package deal, it's an A-5 with a flatline barrel, mask, 20 oz C02, Standard Feeder, and a few other small things like squeegees and such. The other one is also a package but it is a Spyder Pilot electric with all the same stuff that comes with the other package except for a different barrel. The A-5 deal comes to about $500 dollars, the Spyder is about $380.

We are beginners that will be playing on mostly outdoor fields. I have heard that the A-5 is practically indestructable and the Spyder is better for speedball and professional play. I just wanted to know every aspect of both guns before deciding on which to buy.

For the next Bungie summer event they should play paintball, how much fun would that be to watch Alta tattoo Frankie in a grueling paintball match.

Men may hunt, but real men hunt their buddies :)

dont get tippman. the foregrip is too far foreward. dont get senario guns, they may look cool but they are just excess weight and length, smaller is better. get it on the internet, not GIJoes or other sporting good stores (they're all spyder knockoffs or way overpriced), but not paintballonline, they suck they're stationed out here and their employees no nothing not to mention it overpriced.

check various pb forums, there are always things there.

if you really want a spyder then get one that's on clearance. they're all the same (they're all "blow backs"), so the different models are just for looks.

for a starter i suggest a JT mask (Spectras are reliable and are relitively cheap, the lenses are kinda hard to get out compared to others), barrels; get a J&J Ceramic or CP one piece. Tanks; evil, energy, and sometimes brass eagle(for 3.5 oz)

I would suggest getting a blade for starters. Nah, j/k. But seriously, I have a tippman 98 custom with a scope on it (not a wal-mart laser dot thing, but an actual magnifying scope with a dot) and a 16" scope. I am going to buy some mods to get it looking like an M16 A2 pretty soon. I mainly play woodsball, with a ghilly suit and camo. It's badass. You should do that if you are going to play woodsball more.

We played at this field last year that has an urban setting. There were brokedown cars and some small wooden buildings. We had planned on playing more last year but never got around to it. Last weekend my friend brought his Greg Hasting's game over to my house and we got all pumped up to go play again.

I never got why people put scopes on paintball guns. Paintballs arn't acurate enough where using a scope would make any diffrent. The only exucse i have heard is that people use them for spotting, but I'v never played on a field big enough as to where I couldn't see them myself. Unless you only play with your friends on acers of land.

Scopes do help for spotting, and my friends and myself play on 10-20 acre fields, so yeah, the fields are huge. They can help let you know what you're shooting at, plus it gives it a "realistic" feel. And yeah, I have a 36" barrel. You're right. How did you know? Why do you say disgusting just cause I have a 16" barrel? It helps, in my opinion, with range and accuracy.
