Anyone have any interesting facts about animal cruelty. I have to discuss it in a report at school and can't find much info.

I used to go to school with a guy who would hang cats from clothes lines and beat them with baseball bats. He ended up in some institution.

Just get a chimp and geneticly enhance it so you can force it to write your animal crulety report, and anything less than a B will result in no rations for 3 days.

If I was to bite you, your first concern wouldn't be disease. If a dog was to bite you, that would be a major concern. And the only way to find out if it was diseased is to kill it.
So basically it boils down to whose life you value more - the dog's or yours?

I think that they could find out if you had caught a disease without wasting a dogs life.

Yeah, they can tell when you go insane and start attacking people, you're right.

Edit: Except not. I did some research, and it turns out Rabies actually kills you. Oops, my bad.

Actually, a dog bite is less dangerous than a human bite. Your information is all kinds of wrong. A dog can easily be tested for disease without being killed and a human can be given vaccines without any need to test for diseases like rabies.

In fact, in the majority of dog bite cases, the animals are not put down. It depends on the circumstance. Only in extreme or repeat occurances are animals put euthanized.

For the report, you can start with a reputable national agency. I'd go with the Humane Society of the United States. Their site is full of awesome information and they are considered a legitimate source.

Ehh, I was going off of what I thought I knew, without doing any research. So I was wrong, apparently. However, that means so was he, so we're back at neutral ground.

I won't disturb you with the details because they would-- Disturb you. But you may be interested to know that I am singlehandedly responsible for the evolved shape of the animal you came to know in later centuries as a giraffe.

I haven't read that book in a while. I need to read it again.
