what are you talking about? why would the MC need marines or ODST's to destroy a covonent home world? he can do it himself...he is the Master Chief . And i have heard people saying that there are other Spartans, no...they are ODST's, unless they made new Spartans in Halo 2. -

Duh they cloned them thats why it said Spartan "Clones"

I can't believe I'm even respondin to what you just said. Bungie has clearly said many times that the Master Chief can't do it on his own, that he's far from invincible. Stop using "he's teh maSter ChIeF!!11" as an excuse for your weak-ass arguments. I'm sorry I questioned you getting angry Fencr505, these kids are smart.

"What bugs me, is not your theory, but the way you go about it. You get mad for other people coming up with stuff, when yours is no different. Sure it's a little more logical than others, but you talk about it like it's whats gonna happen. The fact of the matter is, there's a million different things that could happen in the story, and I bet you we won't guess what happens before the game ships. And if we do, whoopdee, we guessed the plot to a videogame. Just settle down, and don't act like your idea is correct, simply because you used your noggin. "

I hate to brake it to you but that is how debates over hypotheses work a hypothesis is submitted then people with different views attempt to prove it wrong. If no one can it moves up from a hypothesis to a theory so far no one has used facts to back up their statements. Im not mad Im just supporting my vies I am open minded Im pointing out what is wrong with their submission and they are free to point out what is wrong with mine. Through this process truth will emerge. What I do get mad at are people who believe argument is pointless and don't believe in the value of a debate.

Bottom line: NONE OF YOU have ANY IDEA what will happen in Halo 2. Being rude to each other about your theories is not the way to behave.

Read the damn posts I dont care if he is MC he couldn't do it fast enough yes MC may be able to destroy every covie on a planet but it would take one hell of a long time years and by the time he was done the covies would have destroyed every human on earth plus going from planet to planet MC still has to rely on human pilots who will be shot down since the UNSC fleat is practicly none existant by the time halo 2 begens.

if you read the books there are more spartans. Yes there are ODSTs as well. There were other spartans that weren't even on halo and thus they live.

Still even if those 4 spartans survived 5 spartans could not take on a population of covies consisting of more then 6 billion also in the books it say MC is the equivalent of a battalion of marines well how many battalions of covies do you think there are on a covie home world more then 5 I can tell you that.

Halo doesn't have a moon.

Theyre talking about Threshold's moon.

That is the point I am arguing alot of people assume we are going to the covie home world when there is in fact no proof of that. I am trying to prove we destroy covies by using another halo.

Well, it kind of depends on the copmosition of the population. I don't remember it commenting on it in the books, but if the covie homeworld has 90% grunts and the rest is mixed, then they could probably do it. Especially with the help of a few nukes.

And this is ehre it gets interesting what is the covie homeworld they talk about it but the covies have conquered many planets grunts, jackals. etc. The covie home world/ capital planet most likely is hunters elites brutes and prophets sinse they are near the top of the hierachy and it would make sense for their capital to be where one of these groups originated.

it goes like this

o () 0
Basis Halo 04 Treshold

Basis is the moon, it is many times larger than Halo 04 is. (Look at Aotcr or TB) A nuclear meltdown destroyed Halo 04 because it is very small. A blast like that would leave a crater similar to a meteor on a planet. Here is why:

A planet is a SOLID (or mostly solid) mass. A Halo is just that, a ring. It is just a thin strip of "earth", and has no mass in the center. A blast could not take out a planet. Now when we talk about a NOVA bomb, then we can get into this discussion.

BTW:

When the novels were written, the authors were givin a plot, and information (there is no way they could just make any of it up, Bungie and/or Microsoft gave them something to write by). That is why we can rely on the books to give us information. They wouldn't just write First Strike, have 5 or so Spartans survive, and then come back to Halo 2 with just the MC left.

Common sense, people.

I have been thinking, it would be boring if we attack a covie home world. If we attack say the grunts home world, what would happend. We would fight only damn grunts. I have to agree with fencre with this one. It is unlikely that we would be able to fight on earth, the moon, anothe halo, and a covie home world all in one game

one thing i havent heard is the fact that you could be captured and brought to the covies homeworld to be experimented on (or tortured) then have to escape back to earth or at least to a ship off the planet i doubt they will kill all of the covies if they want to make a halo 3 but i agree going to the covie world might be in any number of ways (captured, infiltration, negotiations, sabatage, escort...) it is safe to say that we will go to the covie home world though.

ok, first, quote the 343GS's words: "technically, this installation has a maximum effective radius of 25 thouthand lightyears, but once the others follow suit, this galaxy will be wiped clean of life."

This quote was in game, so it's safe to say that if you fire any halo, the others will follow in a chain reaction so, to wipe the Covenant homeworld with a ringworld, at least one of these conditions has to be met in order not to wipe out Earth as well:

1. MC destroys EVERY other ringworld.
2. Covie homeworld is in a different galaxy.
3. none of the ringworlds are within 25,000 lightyears of earth.

For number 1, that would take a hell of a lot of time, 2, fat chance, 3, don't think so, unless MC moves all of them away from Earth far enough to save Humanity, which is too hard.

How about the Humans/Spartans take over several Covie ships, fill them with nukes, go to the Covie Homeworld slipping by Covenant defences in their own ships, and nuke the unsuspecting Covenant.

I am extremely surprised no by all of this. The subject of this is " People cant figure any thing out ", Shishka was the first person to point this out to you guys on the 2nd page, do you all think you know what everything in Halo is going to happen? Have you played the finish copy of the game? No one can say anything at all except for the plane obvious stuff and the things Bungie.net has told us already, so everyone, please stop pretending you know everything there is to do with Halo, cause the truth is, you don't.

Edit: Also youngtusk87was right too i guess, I missed him.
