I went to a Film school called Full Sail of Orlando FL. They also teach game design there. I made many friends who were in the game design department and now work in the gaming industry, I wouldnt be suprised if some Bungie employees came from this same school, its one of the best in the world. Go to www.fullsail.com for more information, I just graduated last year and the school is growing beyond belief. Game Designers get a free lap top as a bonus because you'll be typing code non-stop for a whole year.

Good luck to ya!

Thread moved.

Anyhow, pick up some books and start readin', son. Writing a program isn't like making an effect in Photoshop- there's no one way to do things. It's best if you pick up a book on c++ and start at the beginning. When you feel you've got a good grip on basic stuff (IE, FINISH THE BOOK), try checking out NeHe's tutorials, and from there move up to better books, math sites, etc.

As for Max, practice practice practice. ;)

Hello,

Is there something I can do to help you? I personally have not use 3dMax and I tend to stick with light wave for my 3D graphical art. I'm currently learning to use solid works for 3d modeling. I figured since I am familiar with computer modeling I may be of some assistance.

I don't know of a single high budget production that uses Lightwave. The majority of companies use Maya, Max, or XSI.
