The United States of America-- STILL more rights than North Korea!
--New official U.S. motto.

Cronin's Law----The New Flood Drinking Game

Yeah you are...

Sad thing is I actually like school... not the people at school... the learning part.

Thats not whats sad.

Whats sad is that I get bad grades anyway because I don't do homework (even though I know all the stuff)

her paranoid theories of WW3,

"I know not with what weapons World War three will be fought, but World War four will be fought with sticks and stones"
--Albert Einstein

I like this new teacher because her class is more about exploring human nature and yourself than about literature. I like that. She is a hard teacher, but I enjoy it so much, it doesn't feel like work... I find myself writing now not because I have to, but because I like it. That is very unusual for me.
noone can ever make me like learning, not even god himself can.

I feel sorry for you then for you are doomed to be an idiot.
no i still do school,i just dont like it,its like a job you have to do it but you dont have to like it.

I agree that I think exploring human nature is more enjoyable than literature, but in reality we haven't really learned anything new in grammar this year that they expect us to know in English next year. As result most of our class did poorly on the grammar portion of the midterm test (even though I seem to be the god of grammar compared to other people who post here).

My gramma is dead.

----

Anyways...
Yeah, we stopped learning grammer last year, but first semester mt teacher was all about the plot and what was happening... this semester my teacher is focusing on the philosophical and spiritual side of things, *why* things happen if you will. I look forward to what she'll have to say about the books we are going to read (some of my personal favorites too!):

Farenheit 451
Lord of the Flies
1984
a unit on poetry
Shakespeare

good stuff there, made all the better by her teaching style!

My teacher's a hippie. He has a mullet. And yeah, on his desk, there's a pot with ash, and it says, "Ashes of misbehaving students."

I find the Shakespeare plays kind of interesting, and Texas Ben apparently does as well.

They weren't written in the 1800's either. English was much more "advanced," if you could call it that. There were spelling and grammar errors abound.

The plays were written during the Renaissance, the time of the popularity of the arts, such as music, paintings, plays, etc. It was around the 1500's, correct?

He states his age earlier. And Shakespeare wrote those 'pieces of crap' in the 15th century, not in the 1800's. Besides, if you're offended, just leave the thread.

He dissess shakespeare, yet can't even say when it was written.

For your information, those 'pieces of crap' are lierary masterpeices, not only are they interesting stories, but they give a fascinating look into the way life was during those times.
