When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands buttered side down. Therefore, if a slice of toast is strapped to a cat's back, buttered side up, and the animal is then dropped, the two opposing forces will cause it to hover, spinning inches above the ground. If enough toast-laden felines were used, they could form the basis of a high-speed monorail system.

Open the wrong door and you get sucked out. Could also include Banshee hangers; the Banshees are able to go outside the station and run into aimlessly drifting MCs who opened the wrong door, and then the MCs could board them and get back inside!

I like it and i don't like it, the banshee idea would be cool, have dogfights outside and such but the wrong door thing is dumb it should be something like, you open a door that leads outside you don't get sucked through but rather more of scared like it's at a dead end down a long corridor, and you turn around and your getting chased and there is no where to go, but you can just easily memorize the place and know not to go there.
but yea i liek the idea, just needs some work.

That actually sounds like a lot of fun. Boarding would be essential to play, and what could be cooler than shooting each other in space?

Maybe it would be some kinda air-lock that someone else could activate.

That banshee idea was stupid but maybe like mass waves off banshees and those other covies space fighters (equiped with tracking plasma torpedos 3x as big as banshees) attacking humans space station where is all kinda of BIg guns and that kind of stuff defending. That would be awsome 1 flag lvl!

Or not just the bashees but the Shadows (what ever the other covies ships are called ) could be useable, and there could be a covenant ship and the human space station, and you could hit the airlock and jump out like in the 2002 trailer, and woudl you miss, you wouldnt...

I like it. Include magnetic boots so that the Spartans can run all over the surface of the station and include my MX-3 grapple gun in case they get blown off by an explosion or do something crazy like jumping off. (Hey, I'd do it just to dodge a banshee trying to scrape me off the station and then tag him with a plasma grenade)

Oh, and for those not privy to it, here's my MX-3:
---------------------
MX-3 Grapple/Rapple Gun

Assigned to Spartans and ODST's performing special assignments the MX-3 is used to access areas and engage enemies where they least expect it. Physically the device resembles an overlarge pistol with an extendable stock and can sometimes be mistaken for a single shot grenade launcher at first glance.

The gun fires an advanced alloy piton with extreme velocity, trailing a cord created using carbon nano-tubes. Once imbedded in rock or metal, three prongs drill backwards, mooring the piton to sufficiently support the weight of a half ton Spartan. Once imbedded the person using the piton can wind in the cord, ascending, by pressing the "in the right thumbstick". He can unreel, lowering himself, by pressing the "Left thumbstick". While suspended in the air he can look freely by using the right thumbstick as normal and can shift his weight, allowing him to swing with the left thumbstick. Other options include jumping off of a surface for faster downwards movement and greater swinging arc and cutting the cord by pressing the "Y button" once.

Unfortunately, using the MX-3 counts as a single handed weapon. Thus, only one other single handed weapon can be used at the same time as the MX-3. (For two reasons, one... holding a two handed weapon is kind of silly, and two- we need the Y button to cut the cord)

This would be an amazing OPTIONAL weapon allowing an entirely new dimension to multiplay. It is also the Sniper's dream, allowing him to reach sniper's perches in the most unobvious of places.

or there could just be two ships out in space (covie and human of course) and they are totally separate and the only way to get between them is by banshees or human ships (assuming there are human ships). The two base-ships would actually be quite large so there wouldn't just be dogfights and made flag runs though.

I'll really need to think this one out later... but I think I got started well. I'll be back later with some elaborations (maybe).

Ooh, some fun ideas here! :-)

How about (and this is drawing from everybody's suggestions) two large ships, one Covenant and one human. Each one is pretty big, and each has a hangar with various ships (Banshees or something like them for the Covenant, and who knows what -- Longswords? -- for the human ship.)

There are windows at various places on the ships, but they're pretty strong. A little plasma rifle shot certainly won't break it, but something like a rocket launcher -- or, for example, a Banshee fuel rod cannon -- could pretty easily blast it open. In addition, there are various external turrets on the ships, which can be used to shoot at Banshees outside or at people in the windows of the other ship. The turrets, however, can be destroyed.

Everyone's equipped with magnetic boots (and maybe that MX-3 thing, which sounds fun). That lets people have a little mobility outside, though they would need to board a vehicle to really get anywhere. As a CTF map, there's a flag in each base. To get across, players need to fly. Or, perhaps they could jump, a la the original teaser trailer.

One potential issue, however, would be how to keep people from just flying away... and away... and away... There would have to be some limit to where you could go, though it would be no fun to suddenly run into an invisible barrier out in space. Maybe the ships could be surrounded by an insanely dense asteroid field, so that if people headed too far away they would be instantly smashed to bits. Even better, the ships could be flying THROUGH the field, so that at any time a giant asteroid could pulverize your ship or turret! :)
