Why buy an airsoft gun when you can get a Titman 98 or a Remington BB gun, or an actual fire arm.

Well, looks like you got lucky. I happen to be the proud owner of a TM P90 TR. It's a great little gun! It's excellent for CQB, has pretty good range and accuracy for woodland, the silencer totally rocks, and three rails= much awesome.

The only crappy things about them are the high rate of fire that sucks both the mag and battery dry quickly, and the hi-caps. Even the newer, improved hi-caps have feeding problems.

And, they don't make a vest that holds the enormous mags, so you're stuck with a limited capacity thigh holster.

But don't waste your money on that crappy $50 one. Save up and get a real AEG. Trust me, it'll be worth it.

Redwolf's great for silencers. But I go with DEN if I'm buying an AEG. Fully intact trades, they give you the metal flashider, and they usually have awesome special deals for AEGs with express shipping (which is also lightning fast. Every time I've ordered from DEN, the order gets to my house within four days, depending on if I placed the order over the weekend of not.)

DEN!

My friend actually had one of those that he modded into a G36 K/E. It was so freaking cool. It looked awesome, was super accurate, and had a killer ROF. Then, for reasons unbeknownst to me, he traded it for 2 Steyr AUGs. One wasn't even working, but the other one had a high-speed gearbox assembly and a hi-torque motor so it had some insane ROF in the range of 1500-1700 RPM.

The SL-8? Sweet.

But are you gonna have it be a sniper weapon if you get it? Well, nevermind...that thing is nearly 800 dollars.

If you want to get a cheaper, still high quality sniper gun, I'd recommend the SR-16.

More realistically, though, ('cause, I gotta be honest. Playing sniper is really boring. You have to be extremely patient and content with getting 1 or 2 kills a game.) I'd recommend either the MP5 SD5 or the G36C as a starter gun. The SD5 is solid, accurate, and silent, but limited by the constraints and fragility of the V2 gearbox. The G36C is really cool looking, has a beastly ROF, accurate, user-friendly (until you want to take it apart and get into the internals...ugh. But it's not as bad as the MP5.), and the V3 gearbox is great for upgrades of up to 350 FPS. On top of that, the G36C has some really cool aftermarket kits that let you turn it into a full size G36, a K-variant, and a K/E variant.

Start savin' yer pennies.

Depends what kind of airsoft it is, if it's a dinky spring cocking pistol, then it doesn't hurt at all (except at point blank... I know, if you care to ask how) but if it's some beefy 500fps AEG Sniper (500fps is uncommon though, I believe 400 is the maximum allowed in most groups), then it will hurt like hell, and can also break your own airsoft gun.

Hey, mcthe (or anyone interested, for that manner), once you have some cash flow, I'll sell you my P90.
It comes with a BSA red dot sight, functional SOCOM silencer, 1 Hi-cap mag, 2 lo-cap mags, thigh-mounted mag holster, a standard-issue 600mAh mini battery, an extra 1800mAh battery with battery bag, all the other stuff that I might have for it that I forgot about.

It's got some scratches on part of the body and silencer, but I'm gonna try and at least get them reduced. They don't have any effect on the performance of the gun, though.

Asking price: not sure right now, but I'm probably looking in the $220-$230 range.

PM for details if you care.

Depends on the group, really. Most tend to put a 500 FPS limit on snipers and a 400 FPS limit on AEGs. Snipers can't engage from less than about 80 feet, and AEGs are limited to 20 feet or more.

the bb's can't break your gun (unless you're referring to the internal damage caused by such a powerful spring hitting an improperly upgraded gerabox), but they sure as heck will break your skin.

Are you sure you wanna go with a cheap, crappy one? Trust me, you'll be a ton happier with a TM one. The TM Mp5 is the cheapest of the AEGs, too.

Save your cash and get a good AEG! I beg of you!

Well, if you only have 50$ i would look into the uhc usp nbb, as shown here http://www.shortyusa.com/cart/viewitem.html?II=540&UID=11 06865661-24.245.54.58&OldLoc=/cart/listcategory.html& RID=1&NL=&CA=2 . But if you have more money i would say go for a nice gbb then if you like it get a tm aeg or somehting. You may want to check out www.airsoftretreat.com great site with people who will tell you to search no matter what you ask, but its still really usefull.
