Uninstall SP2. It's in the Add/Remove Programs list in your control panel. SP2 sucks major behind. Not only are the firewall and internet explorer settings hardly configurable (and very harsh), but it slows most stuff down. Just uninstall. That's what I did, and it has solved my problems.

uninstall service pack two??? I'd rather keep it and not get viruses....When I was on this forum, it said: Intrustion something something but then my firewall blocked it. Then again that was Norton that caught it.

SP2 has a pain-in-the-@ss firewall/security settings. Every time I go to a site, even Microsoft, and download something, I have to go through loads of windows in order to finally download the program.

BTW, the thing Norton blocks is a cookie. All sites give it out. For instance, the next time you try to sign in with b.net, the cookie tells the browser to fill in the "username" form with the name used in the previous sign-in. Cookies are usually a good thing, and can speed stuff up...

Hey sexy to solve that problem with the loads of windows get FIRE FOX. It is way better than ie and there is no and i repeat no way to get ad ware or spyware from useing fire fox. If you use fire fox you won't even need any ani spyware programs.
