Considering the drawbacks to TCP/IP I was wondering if Bungie would hear my plea for a support system of some type that would best faciliate marathon MP beyond IMing, PMing, and emailing strangers and exchanging IP's.

Gameranger is a mac system in which you get on, host a game, ppl join up, and you hit "start game." TCP/IP stuff is all taken care of anonymously and easily behind secret doors so the users are obvlisious to the pains of regular TCP/IP MP. Now, Marathon is on the control of source.bungie.org i guess, so i suppose I should bring this up to them as well, but I figured this forum would provide a good sounding board to my own requests (esp. since Bungie still owns the rights).

Gameranger itself says, "Contact Scott Kevill at developer@GameRanger.com to find out just how easy it is to have GameRanger support your game.
Please include any information about the game that you can (confidentiality is assured), and in particular, the type of networking models it uses, and a very rough estimate of how far away the release is (if not already released).
Support is added to the game by the developer, and then the GameRanger plug-in is written by Scott Kevill, as the GameRanger server has a registry of all plug-ins"

Can this "green light" be given? Please?

thx.
-Jäger (apologies, this is a mac-onlyl MP server, but i would also like to drum up other support for such systems to ease TCP/IP mp. I'm sure a fairly loyal and steady following of marathon MPers would exist).

lol, hey, me too. I just figure its easier to say "hey look at some of the options that are available" that I know of instead of going "make me a marathon server now BUNGIE! WROAR" in all caps. I'd like to come across as a little civilized and researched. Even if my spelling sux.
