Mine runs off a cable and i shared same as yours 512kbps. The only diffence may be mne is a 15m long cable.
Look at your connection in the game is it green yellow or red? Try changing the port it is in on your modem/router.
Change the modem/router settings.
Is the cable damaged?
Are you having problems with your phones?
Is it properly plugged in the modem/router/xbox console?
Try it on a different game.

Try this lot and if it still does not work i will see what else i could snuff up for you.

Call tech support... they might be able to help you on the spot... maybe (when I called once, I knew more about the products than the guy on the phone!)

The first and most obvious question, what has changed in the past week? Did you install a new program on your PC?

Have you tried connecting directly to the modem? If that speeds things back up, you know it's something with the PC that's screwing up.

FWIW It's been pretty laggy the past couple days... I think I'm getting "lucky" and getting the international (Japan, Australia, UK, etc.) connections a lot .
