All of a sudden, whenever I have shadows on I get these gridlines/rainbows. The grids on the water seem to stay no matter what, and also there is a white line running along the right and bottom of the screen. What gives? I did tweak a little bit with my ATI control panel, but I tried everything to set it back to defaults and nothing's changed. I'm running a Radeon 9600 pro 256mb, halo 1.06 on xp sp2. Can anyone help?? Thanks!

[and why cant I post images? and why cant I search the forums? :X ]

who made the card? was it a made by ati? sapphire? if its a weird brand that MIGHT be why... i suspect that you are not running current video drivers
go to ati.com to get new ones, and if that aint the prob.. then i have no clue... reinstall halo?? :S

Your card appears to be suffering from artifacts. It happens during overclocking sometimes or the video is bad. Your card may be overheating so best not to overclock it. Or your card's memory is defected so you may even have to return the card. Or it could be the fact that the computer is dusty, you have to clean out the dust. And last but not least, if you DID screw something in the ATI control panel, then you may have fried the video card.

Looks like you need to either reinstall Halo, get new video drivers, stop your overclocking...or get a new card (absolute last resort).
