So is anyone else excited about Forza Motorsport. I recently played a demo of it and if nothing else the racing mechanics beat just about anything else out there. That coupled with the riduculus amout of customization the cars has really got me interested.

how does it compare to PG2? assuming you've played PG2 of course, but then again, who hasn't played PG2, cuz if you haven't played PG2, then you should lay down and rot.

It's a sim as apposed PGR2 arcade style and it actually as one of the art directors (I think) from PGR2. The racing engine itself is very realistic, ever heard of feathering the brakes, well this takes it to a new extream. Thats only if you turn off the ABS, tracktion control etc. It is different to PGR2 and is being toted as the game to out do GT4. It also has massive online support too.

I was excited about forza until I played the demo of it. Although a decent enough racer it may be, I felt that it lacked that solid feel a game like Project Gotham Racing 2 has. However it was a demo so the final version will probably be better.

I didn't mind the demo, it kind of reminded me of Race Driver 2. Remember this is a sim and is all about perfect driving lines. Your probably right though, they could still fine tune the engine a bit more.

What I mean is the feedback you get in the controller. For instance, the massive bore you get from an AC Cobra or a gentle hum you get from a VW Beetle.

Don't count it out yet, there is still several more months of development yet. It's not scheduled I think until July.

Opinions are like arseholes - everybody has one.

There is no such thing as a bad decision, only good decisions based on flawed information.

Actually i think it's out in april although that may just be the british release date. Anyway, i'm a massive fan on PGR2, i was damn near unbeatable but i'm very excited about Forza too. It's definatley more of a simulation than Gotham and all these car modifications you can do look excellent. It aslo has all of Gotham's best cars along with some i felt it was missing.

I've played the demo, and I have to admit I found it difficult..... and that was with the traction control, ABS and that stability thingy turned on! Looks good though, and the sound effects were very realistic.
