having a demo i think would ruin the suprise. i mean sure it would keep everything a secret but i want to do it all when it come out. that way its one BIG hle -blam!- im playing halo 2. not just i already no what to do in this level and i no all the secrets of a mp map.

I wouldn't want to have any suprises ruined either. The only thing that I would be able to stand would be a Zanzibar MP demo for Live like they had at E3.

If there was a demo I would be absolutely sure to steer clear of it. However, I think a demo of say the New Mombasa level that was shown at E32003 would be fine. Not for Halo vets to play, of course, but rather for people who have yet to see what all the hubbub is about. I dont know about you, but I'd like to fight as many people as I can on XBL.

Did they look at every sprite or look at every corner or talk to every one or notice all the work had been done at the point of time or sit there and just figure out were bad guys are going to be and how much damage things do how much you may like a gun or what it look like up close on a dead victim. NOOOOO!

I'm with you Poo, If there was a demo I probably couldn't resist. And I would end up studying every inch of whatever level they gave, and when the game did come out, it wouldn't have quite the earth shattering awe that most people will get, a.k.a somewhat ruined.

I'm still for the drug-induced coma though, that wouldn't spoil any of the game, and it would be here tomarrow (for me).

the beginning of the game/first level being put in a demo would give stuff away, but i wouldn't mind having a xbox live demo of the game.

What I really don't get is all you idiot who think that including a SPC or MP level that people have already seen GIVES THINGS AWAY! What Things? What is with that -blam!-. How can 'the surprise' be 'ruined' if we have already seen it? How?

And if you "want to be blown away" by the full game, the solution is very very very simple: don't play it

No one makes you check every little corner for things. And so what anyway? Big deal, we see a few sprites or a corpse. I guess that's a great reason to not have a demo.

I would'nt mind Zanzibar 4player split screen to appear at select game dealers as a demo. That would be fine.

it is because instead of having the little awe for the demo you could have all the surprise and excitement and glory in the whole world on one day...NOV 9th. instead of have a huge thing you have one little thing and a big thing.

You just don't get it do you? If you want to have all that awe crap, then don't play the demo. No one makes you play it, and just because you don't want to, it doesn't mean everyone else thinks the same, and that we shouldn't have a demo just because a few people don't want a surprise revealed.

And, who says it will ruin it? It might for you, but not everyone else. Shut the hell up, and stop assuming that just because you think that a demo would ruin the surprise, it means it's true.

it really doesn't matter if we want a demo or not. i believe bungie offically announced that there will be no demo. so why does this topic keep coming up?
