Heh, the X850 is over $500.

The ATI 9800 Pro (get like, Sapphire or gigabyte's version) is an awesome buy. It's still one of the most bomb cards on the market for a good price. AGP. PCI-e requires a more expensive mobo and card, and the 9800 is AGP.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 3200+, Socket 939 (you can get the 3500 if you like, not much performance gain). I have a Newcastle 3500. However, the Winchester cores are slightly better but have a price hike on them.

Motherboard: Abit AV8

The mobo/processor combo is seriously kick@ss.

Fans? One on the processor, one in front, one on the side (if there's even a slot), and one on the back. I have two on the back, just for a bit of safety when overclocking. 80mm is the mainstream size, although some cases have a 120mm slot on the back. Liquid cooling? You need an external reservoir and....no, just stay away.

Any other questions, just ask them.

Yeah, cases, even with a fat 400watt and above power supply included now run below $60. I got mine for about $55.

Yeah, definately nice. I suggest about 400 watts to be safe, but you can always go lower. also, a stainless steel case retains the noise and is very sturdy...they're a bit of a pain to move, though.

Yeah, not that much though. Average 5 or less games per day on Live.
