Why do you insist on using soft ceilings when the great part about new games is realistic physics? H3 stuck with the “if it ain’t broken, why fix it” mentality and that is fine. I love halo games, own them all, and play them all. Why would you add fake physics into games just to stop exploits that made the original games so popular? Players that used the exploits in H2 only could get so far before everyone knew how to do them, and then would easily get picked off because they were isolated outside of the map, etc. I can’t stand seeing something that the characters should be able to jump onto, only to be ushered back down to the ground by the invisible guardian-of-places-above-20 feet. Some of the places that hit the soft ceiling are absolutely ridiculous, such as in Last Resort & Stand Off. Come on Bungie… if you don’t want us to get places, don’t put them there. You know... I actually have to agree. Not being able to fully explore places like Valhalla and Sandtrap sapped a lot of the fun out of Forge for me.
yeah, maybe if they could put the walls up during matchmaking but take them out during forge....i would probably play the game so much more...but i hate the fact you cant get places...like the pelican on rats nest or on top of the wheel on last resort...oh well i guess you cant always get what you want
