If you're talking about how it's different in Halo 2 and 3 as opposed to Halo: Combat Evolved, I guess it doesn't go too much in detail in the game about it...but in the Halo Graphic Novel SPARTAN-062, Maria, tests a newer version of MJOLNER power armor for the Master Chief. This armor is the MARK VI Powered Assault Armor that the Master Chief uses in Halo 2 and 3. It's an upgraded version of the MARK V and some of the modifications according to Halopedia are faster shield recharge and stronger shields, less bulk but denser armor plates, more streamlined, visual magnification(the ability to zoom in slightly with unscoped weapons but not the ability to fire while zoomed in), a system that automatically injects biofoam into the wearer(which is why there are no health packs in Halo 2 or 3), it also features a lockdown capability where the armor becomes stiff to prevent further injury. There are a few other speculations that aren't exactly confirmed but here they are, an improved reactive metal crystal layer to increase mobility, which explains the faster melee attacks in comparison to the original Halo, and faster and higher jumping. Also it is speculated that the suit automatically increases the level of the hydrostatic gel which explains the lack of falling damage that was present in Halo:Combat Evolved. I hope that helped!
