In the E3 2003 video the jackals form a wall of shields?is this a taste of the new AI

and when he dual wields the SMGs the crosshairs are way different from what they were in the E3 2004 MP which was the old AR's crosshair

when the brutes come in it looks as though MC knocks the brute down first then kills it by firing are we able to knock guys down now?

oh and thank goodness marines don't have shotguns and rocket launchers

he kills the brute with the melee attack so thats y the brute fell down. i dont think anybody except the player really knows y he shot him after it was already dead.

The shot had the same effect as a corpse hump.

I think he just shot it to be more realistic, like making sure its dead. I'd shoot it to make sure it won't get back up if taht happened to me in real life.

He shot the Warthog because when you're on a Warthog that gets shot, you take damage. The Brute jumped off when he realized he was being shot and hurt. MC hit the Brute twice, killing him. MC didn't need to shoot him twice.

Spamming Bungie since 2004!
Those who want to live, let them fight, and those who do not want to fight in this world of eternal struggle do not deserve to live.

Also, you can notice in the E3 2004 vid. When Joe zooms in with the rocket launcher to hit Max, the Rocket zoom says 5x instead of 2.

its not ai its scripted guys!

I hope they add that feature to the final game, if >4 jackels together, for the formation. That could be cool.

Are you able to have different melee moves. Like swing right then left then up?

No, now when a vehicle is hit it just falls apart. It doesnt damage you. Mc just shot the hog for fun. And the brute was dead after it hit the ground but he was trying to show off or something

Well its in the E3 2003 demo, he swings the butt-stock of the battle rifle to his left(similar to the AR meelee in halo 1), then back across to the right, then quickly he swings it upwards. Pretty awsome man.

You need to not look at it as someone playing a game where they're fighting AI, and look at it as though you're actually looking through the Chief's eyes. It makes total sense that the Chief would shoot something he just knocked down, for the sake of making sure it's dead.

Most of the stuff from E3 2003 is all scripted, like buddy up there said.

To tell the truth, I don't think the AI will be vastly improved. I think most of the stuff will be scripted, even though Bungie says differently.

EDIT: Just my opinion.

Bah, I think that Halo's AI was some of the best I've ever seen in a shooter. There are a lot of scripted moments, but I think that helps with the immersion. Also, based purely on the number of new actions a character can perform, the AI has to be better.
