I just absolutely love how you think that weapon lowering will still cause an unfair advantage. Um, last time I checked, when you have your weapon lowered, and shoot, it comes back up. Ohemgee! Also, who the hell is going to stop dead in their tracks because someone lowered their weapon, yet I know damn well that people have stopped and stared at your flaming recon helmets. The fact that you're screwing over the machinima community, and trying to make up for it with "camera effects," that almost everyone can do in Windows Movie Maker, is pathetic.
If you don't want Weapon Lowering done in Matchmaking, then set it so that you can't. Hell, make it an option when you're editing a gametype weather or not people can lower their weapons. Look, problem solved. Not everyone has friends with 360's and Halo 3 around them willing to press a 5 button combo for 3 seconds and to do five min. scenes. Not everyone wants to go and install some crappy application, such as Xbox Connect or XLink Kai, just to get the last scene of their machinima done. You guys should know that, and you've busted our balls and are now proceeding to stomp on them.
Did it ever occur to you guys to, say, I dunno, ASK the Machinima community what they wanted, instead of just guessing? "Oh hai guiz, we're gunna make weapon lowering system link and local play only. LOLZ." Look, there goes a bunch of your fanbase, angry at you for -blam!- them over. Good job Bungie, I hope you're proud of your half-assed game, which would've been better if we could actually make movies with weapon lowering over Xbox Live, but I guess not.
People wanted weapon lowering back on so they could make halo movies. Have you ever heard of RedvsBlue? (In halo 2 you could make your weapon lower by pressing down on the d pad) Honestly i think that was dumb that they took that out, but Bungie is mysterious and they like to piss people off.
(haha, jk)
