Why is Master chief green, Discuss
I mean he is suited to combat in grey suburbia and artic tundra not forest environments
(Also does MC have Air conditioning?)

dunno about the green

I think the green is a constraint of the material that the armour itself has. The reflective alloy probably is naturally green, and paint may not stick to it, or at least not be the best thing for some of its properties (like its ability to disperse heat energy).

As for air-con, the answer is yes. The suit is climate-controlled, as is outlined in The Fall of Reach.

The irridescent green/gold coating on his armor is to help deflect energy attacks like lasers, although it's not too effective against plasma. I guess it doesn't come in any other colour.
And yes MC has a climate controlled suit which changes to match his body temperature.

Well, beyond the obvious answer that the green colour looks bad-ass, it's also a colour that works well in all situations. Obviously it's not going to work best in arctic conditions, but in any other situation, it's not bad. It's not like the enemies can't see him - but the green doesn't make him stick out, either.

But, I think the most important fact to remember here is that when the hell have you ever known the MC to need camo? The entire point is to blast your way through the enemy's face - not sneak around it.
