uh some mag said that the damage to a vehicle does not affect the way that it drives, it only blows it up at the end. That sucks

vehicle damage effects control and speed of the vehicle as well as taking hits for the driver.

The more damaged the Warthog gets, the harder it is to drive. Watch the E3 trailer.

No no! Im pretty sure I read that damage only affects the vibration output on your controller telling you exactly how dodgy the vehicle is. Notice after he shoots up the warthog, Wort drives perfectly fine and at the normal speed in the multiplayer trailer? Well, right before it explodes....

listen to what he says though....

the more messed up you vehicle is the harder it is to drive

I think that is a pretty obvious statement right there.

Yes but if your controllers freaking out Im guessing that makes it harder to drive too....

I have no proof anyway, your probably right. Im just sure I heard it mentioned someone that only affects the controller output.

if you closer than ash did then you will see that it was effected, the warthog veered around a bit and it looked like he was trying to keep it under control.

I first read the word "impare" as "improve" Heh heh heh...

Anyway, is there going to be a way to fix the vehicle, or will it just be broken the whole game. (If this has been asked before, Im sorry)

I was talking about the stretch across the beach, wort drives in a straight line there before being blown up with a rocket but I agree the warthog does seem a little dodgy right before he gets destroyed.

In regards to single-player, I'd assume that once the vehicle is destroyed, it’s destroyed. However, that's not to say you won't have access to a different one at a later time. I have a hard time seeing vehicles spawn in single-player.

As far as multiplayer; I do believe that there is currently a re-spawn time set on vehicles. After they've been destroyed and a set duration of time has elapsed, the vehicle will reappear at a specified location.

That's my understanding anyway.

Possibly, but not on a regular basis. As in, once it goes boom a pelican doesn't just come outta nowhere to drop a new one, at least I don't think, maybe you'll be able to call one in though, with headset features or something.

I think he might be right. In OXM (recent issue) it said that the more the vehicle gets damaged, the more you will fill it in the controller. Go read it. It says you will feel it in the controller has well has see it.it says it will not affect controls.

It doesnt' really affect the way the vehicle handles per say, the controll just rumbles when the vehicle is damnaged to let you know that it is damaged. In fact I belive I read something where bungie said that they didn't want to make the vehicle damage affect the handling becuase they didn't want to annoy the driver to focus on trying to go in a straight line when your axle is bent or somthing. It would be like running out of breath when sprinting (i.e. GTA 3...soooooo annoying)

I've read the same article its in the oxm article under the title Shake Rattle and Roll, it says that if your vehicle is damaged then it will give feedback through the control, Pete Parsons "We don't want to annoy players with awkward control effects". Read the article the link should be still around in this forum

OXM released that article before E3. Before, at the show, Joseph Staten said in the demonstration "Vehicle damage isn't just cosmetic; the more messed up your vehicle is, the harder it is to drive." Here are a few words of logic: 1. Lousy vehicle handling based on damage could have been added since the article. 2. OXM may not know what they are talking about. 3. If Joseph Staten was talking about the rumble feature why in the world would he have worded it like that?

it will effect the handling just like in rally sport 2 they have stated many times now that it not just cosmetic and they said that it will vibrate as well the more screwed up it gets.

P.S. things change
