another way to find out is to right click my compy, properties, hardware tab, device manager and look under display adapters

but that only returns what driver you have, so in my case it says radeon 9600 series, so the dxdiag one is better

i like the spinning cube myself

and the midi music on the music tab... :D

Heyyo,

Hmm, GeForce2 go... a laptop, and that videocard's over 5 years old.... (year 1999 I believe).

So laptop's vidcard is REALLY dated, so you might wanna try n' return that n' see if you can use it towards a newer laptop, aim for one with a mobile Radeon 9600.

$130 or so, I believe, plus or minus $30 depending upon the manufacturer and make.

My science prof.'s hp laptop has 9200 built in on his PC. Do they only make PCI graphics cards for laptops or are there PCI express and AGP slots on laptops? Cuz my dad's has an nVidea something (I never use his lap top) and it says that it's PCI bus or something like that.It came with it.

Heyyo,

Sadly, there's no true standards yet for laptops, and finding custom parts for it is next to impossible, and most videocards are intergrated. So if you want to upgrade your videocard? you'll need a whole new laptop. There's only 1 laptop I know of that has an agp port, and that's that $5000 Alienware one...

It is also over priced. alienware is generally 50-200% more expensive than a homebuilt pc of the same standads.

Yeah but they're for people who won the lottery so they don't even have to look at the price.
