To me they fit in perfect. There colors give off what they are so greatly.

Remember guys the are bassically protectectors of shrines and stuff. That greyish/bluish color just fits them perfect for who they are.

It also shows that they are different from the covenant in a sense? Either higher ranking and dont want to even share their color of armor with the other pitiful covies?

Man im just remembering when i first heard the word "covenant" in history. I thought to myself, "oh so thats wy there called the coveanant....

Play as a team win as a team or die as a team!

Why what does Covenant mean?! And what history in 9th(World History)? I'm taking that next year in 10th grade.

Well it is 8th grade history honors.(a C in that god damned class) and a covenant is a pact. bassically an alliance between 2 or more. Meaning grunts elites brutes hunters etc. None were forced to join.

From wat I think Brutes are a new to the covenant allies and still get sore at elites in the last chapter of First strike you can see tha that was the first time a brute get up close to a profhet so that my theory, and that why it's doen't appear in HALO.

PS: What kind of player see it's enemy by the color of it's skin, a -blam!- player?

Of course non of them were forced, there are totally religously fanatical and devoted to the forerunners and prophets

how can the brutes not fit in with the convenant race he is like an evovoled grunt becuase gruntes ar elike apes just like the brute

I read that the Brutes are conscripts of the Prophets, but have some a kind of Autonomous standing to standard protocol, and that the Brutes don't discriminate between Covenant and Human in certain battle senarios.

On the issue about colors, it could be that they see in a different color spectrum than we do(being from another world)so they could be the most colorful unit on the battlefield just only to each other.

In the first strike a brute kills a spartan with his bare hands. So they are as strong as hell. but there duma$$es. They also don't get along with elites so we will see them fighting against eachother.

I think the Brutes look different from the other Covenant, due to their part in the Covenant heirarchy. They are the ceremonial guards....like the monks of a church. Prophets don't look Covenant-like either....their red and yellow, and skinny. But anyways, we're used to Covenant from Halo 1. And in time we'll get used to Covenant in Halo 2.
