I heard The Flood is a sucky book, should I skip that and read First Strike instead? If so will I miss anything important for skipping The Flood?

Devil is Double is Deuce and Joker always trumps Deuce.

Nah. Read it anyway.

Read the flood. Other than the 10 levels being read and told, there are other storylines of different persons and characters also on the crew of pillar of autumn. You even get to find out what happened to...... You read and find out.

I didn't think it was great, but as you can get a set of three there is no reason not to read it really. It wasn't as intruiging as the other two, because most of what was cool in the others was things like the background story and Master Chief kicking arse. We already played all the arse kicking bits, and there was only a little more light shed on the backstory. However it was a reasonably good book provided you don't get annoyed by the mistakes, such as turrets being there in the book which weren't in the game.

THEY SHOULD MAKE novelalizations on great games such as time splitters and grand theft auto man those books would be good.

You won't miss much if you played through Halo's campaign and actually paid attention to the story. Fall of Reach is in my opinion Numero Uno because it tells the back story of the Spartans, and how the UNSC came to know the Covenant. First Strike is a good one too. Personally I thought the Flood was kinda boring.

Well, the Grand Theft auto books might be interesting, but TimeSplitters would probably not sell well to people that read beyond a 4th grade level.

The Flood book is all "he quickly took down the two elites with his assault weapon and finished off a grunt with his side arm. The rest of the battle took 15 minutes."
