Just wondering if there are any rugby fans out there playing Halo 2. It's recently been announced that EA sports will be putting out Rugby 2005 for Xbox, PS2, and PC. It's supposed to be much better in both gameplay and graphics. For more info click here. If anyones wondering I'm a flanker/8-man for Miami of Ohio.

Yes I play club rugby in Australia (The kings of rugby) and I am a winger/inside centre. My bro plays flank. Over here rugby is a big sport, and since we finished 2nd in the world cup it says a lot. BTW we are probably the best now since England has lost their beloved drop kicker and captain.

Mr Wilkinson needs to stop being injured and get back to his usual superb self. We've also lost a shed-load more players due to retirements. I don't particularly have high-hopes for an English triumph in the Six Nations at the moment.

As for the EA rugby game, I'm not entirely sure it will be any good. Its quite a hard sport to translate well to videogames.

What are the rules to rugby? How do you play? (I'm american in case you didn't know) My friends and I were playing Football (not soccer) when one of them said something about playing rugby. I said none of us know how, when one guy said you just get the ball and run from goal to goal or something. I said it's not like that, but I still didn't know how to play. So how do you play? Oh, and do you have to tape your ears?

Same basic concept as football, you wanna move the ball into the other teams try zone (endzone) and touch the ball to the ground (think touchdown). that is called a try, and is worth 5 points, and after a try there is the equivalent of an extra point, but it's worth 2. during play, it's like (american) football, but non-stop. when you are tackled you set the ball back and the next person on your team comes and picks it up. forward passes aren't allowed, so all passes are laterals. hope that gives you some idea of what the games like. here's a link i found that should help a little more
