hi im new to this site but not halo as i have completed the xbox version on legendary an i am a master at the online pc version

anyways, something that has struck me 4 a while is a halo movie
it would be awesome!!!!
however if bungie were to make it into a movie i would advise them strongly not to make it sum crappy all action, no plot movie like xXx
i would also advise them to give it a good soundtrack and good casting
and most importantly of all, STICK TO THE GAME, dont make another harry potter screen conversion thing that sux pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

halo has LOADS of potential for a film as it has book written about it and the storyline alone in the game is good enough given a little more thought!

i havent given it much thought and the only actor i have come up with for MC is possibly Vin Diesel as hes got the build and voice to be him im all open 4 suggestions tho plz give me some input :)

tnx

A halo movie would rock but Bungie said no. There is so much that could go wrong and totally wreck the reputation as a top gaming companie. Personally though I think it's worth the risk if they get a good director. Maybe that guy who did LOTR he might be good.

How would the movie possibly live up to the game?

I wopuld like a halo movie as long as it was done with computers. I watched the trailer for halo 2 and thought how sweet a halo movie would be. But if it was done with actors it wouldn't be as good.

What are you people smoking? A Halo movie based after the game would suck. Why? Because Hollywood sucks. The entire thing would be 90 minutes long and absoloutely nothing good would happen.

If Halo were to be made inro a movie it would have to based after The Fall of Reach novel, not the video game. Also it would have to be done ala Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within style so we could have the original voice actors for each character. On top of that it could not be some short film. How long am I talking? I'm talking Lord of the Rings can suck Halo's balls long. Yeah that's right, that long, like 4 hours with an intermission or something.

That would kick ass. Anything else would be unacceptable. But we don't have to worry because Bungie has been smart and said, "NO!"

Just to let u know Peter Jackson directed LOTR. and i agrre a movie would have to be like a cutscene movie like the one at the start of the E3 video a real movie would just cheapin the whole thing in my opinion.

I totally agree, I mean the game and books are perfect but what if the movie ends up being stupid, that would just ruin everything, including the game and books. Every time I played halo I would think about how much the movie sucked, so im glad bungie said no.

A Halo movie would be SOO kickass y0!! Yeah, of course it'd have to be "LOTR can like Halo's balls long", but that'd be sweet!! If there were to be one made, of course it'd have to be made like Final Fantasy: Spirits Within, because you can do so much more with computers then with real actors. The movie would start with the novel, Fall of Reach, progress through Halo, through First Strike, and the through Halo 2, until the end of the Halo story. It'd be a looong watch, but it would be well worth it IMO. Spartan 013 gives the idea of a Halo movie, 2 thumbs up!

A Halo movie would totally ruin Bungie's reputation as a whole if they decided to make a movie.

They have already said no because so many things can go wrong.

no! haha! a halo movie would suck ass!

plus, it wouldnt come out till 2015, at this rate ;)

seriously now, why would u want a halo movie when the games r that great? a movie would kill it and give non-halo players more to hate for some reason.

go make a movie outta some other game..... and kill it.... like resident evil, perhaps?

thank god bungie said no to a movie... i seriously hope they're reading this and luahging hystericaly at u mere fools for such a -blam!- dumb thread

Although Bungie have said no to a film, they could probably still do something with CGI or the current program they using to make the cut-sceens. Think about it, there there would be no way that they could mess it up, the only problem being that then nobody would watch it as it would be exactly the same as the game.
