Xbox 360 Elite

Unfortunately, no. They are only good for the mission you're currently playing I believe.

Most skulls will stay active until you turn off (or eject disc) the box. I can't remember if Envy works (for MC only) from level to level. All the rest will stay until you shut down. However, you cannot turn them on/off at will during the game.

All throughout history great empires rise and fall. How you ask?
Two reasons:
1. Economic failure because of either inflation or socialistic programs.
2. War. Their armies were spread too thin and too far from home.

The United States has bases all around the world in "hazardous" areas and it's economy collapses it seems every 20 years. Do you really think that history won't change? Do you really think that you can run the world?

turn off box to turn off skulls

if you get the sputnik skull theres no snowing on lockout :P

That's one of the cool things I didn't realize until later - you can get a skull, "Save & Quit" a level, then go to another and the skull will still be on.

BE is the one that makes snow go away, but I thought you couldn't use the skulls in MP.

If a 360 is being used, any snow will sometimes turn on and off at random intervals, at least mine does. It may also depend on updates, idrk.

ARBITER, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S NOT BUTTER!!! WORT WORT WORT.

What I did was make a profile for each skull, and save and quit the checkpoint before it, assuming the AO was clear. Makes it faster, by far.

Oooooh man the snow. I know all about this.

Alright, without any updates, map packs, nothing... Black Eye works like this.
Pick up the skull - Snow off.
Drop it, pick it back up - Snow back on.
Drop it, pick it back up - snow off.
And it just keeps acting like a lightswitch.

With any updates, it's definitely random. The first one screwed it up, and I had to wipe my Halo 2 saves from the disk and start over for what I'm doing.

Yes, this affects the snow on Lockout as well as in campaign.

On a 360, assuming it backdates okay, the results should be the same as they were for the original xbox.

Agreed, also if you save and quit for no snow (on one day), you can use that to get coop no snow without doing BE again (on another day). Same with single player, just go into the save w/ no snow and then q and save out of that, then go into another profile and start up a new game (in that same level) and there will be no snow. I don't know about MP.

The best part about BE (for me) is you can save and quit with BE activated, then go back in under that save later (without BE) you not only still have it but your shields will recharge normally when over-shield is gone.

The latter is the best part about Black Eye. Makes for farther launching of Master Chief.

The snow quit and save thing, never tried that... interesting how it works. I'm noting that.

Yeah, it's a killer. Works on either box. Just get a new profile but go into a QZ save with a profile that has no snow. Immediately quit and save and then use the new profile to start QZ and the snow will be gone.

On my machines, I only had to activate BE once on each (for the no snow thing). All my other QZ saves were done without getting BE using this method.

Something strange happened today with BE.

I made a vid recently on HIH documenting vehicle overload in QZ. I've found, with enough vehicles placed in certain spots, that by the time I reach the Gondola spawn (tunnel ride) I can induce the Phantom to drop into the open canyon, the Human Gondola does not appear and the cutscene at the end goes bonkers.

What was strange is that I wanted to drop off of the Gondola (where the Human Gondola first appears) and make my way over to the door that the Human Gondola comes from. The reason I want to do this is to see if the Human Gondola is frozen in the area inside the door. In order to do that, I need three dbl nade launches. Or I could use one rocket/nade launch and one dbl nade launch to get to the doorway. So to do all that I needed BE plus the save (so that shields come back).

When I put on BE and did the same setup to induce the overload, the overload weakens enough so the canyon area in the Gondolas are not overloaded enough to make the Human Gondola disappear. For one of the few times, BE spoiled everything.

You sure it wasn't because the game only loaded where you recently were and didn't have to remember all they way back like it does when you play nonstop?

? If I use the same save w/o BE, the Gondola does not appear. If I activate BE, the Gondola appears. Other than that, idk what the heck is going on.

What's odd about QZ is that the overload is on the first three maps. The game should not be able to be overloaded to the Gondola canyon at all, imo. What seems to do the trick is the overload I place above the SI exit door (very beginning of QZ). There's a relationship between the maps that I don't understand.
