Totally cool idea. I have dawn of war and i m sure a halo mod would be great!! Wish you success and be sure i will be there to download it!

Heyyo,

Probably not your no cd exe, it's probably you need the right patch for the game to work. I use no cd exe's on all my games cause it's too annoying to spend time swapping cds.. I bet I'd spend in my lifetime, a half years worth of my time swapping cds.. cause 10 seconds adds up over a couple decades boys.. and I don't wanna think I spent a good chunk of time scavenging cds :p

Btw, got dawn of war, it's a pretty cool rts. Not like your average rts.. i really like how it's setup. :)

So far, from what I've seen, a huge pack of spacemarines or ultramarines can take on anything. ;)

The only other explianation i can think of is that you havent put the .module file and the data files in the right place in the games directory

Or the installers don't "agree" with your version of windows/operating system. I had it happen w/the first few DaemonHunters Mod releases (I am one of several Campaign designers for it).

Basically, our mod will be ready when it's ready. That said, we will NOT take forever, but we have lives so it will take a while. But the more people who help us in our endeavors the faster we will be done.

Well, the plan is to not make a PUBLIC release w/ any placeholders. But if there is public demand for a public demo, we will use some placeholders. IG could be marines, SM could be Spartans, you get the picture. But that's not the part of the plan.

Mr B, you ask many good questions. This mod plans to do the UNSC first and foremost, and then the Covenant United, Covenant Loyalists (Prophets, Brutes, Jackals, Drones) and Covenant Heretics (Elites, Hunters, Grunts - not the diseased ones that the Arbiter first encounters, but the ones the Arbiter leads). Next, we would do the Flood, and possibly even the Sentinals. Note that these last two armies will be the hardest to come up with, but we shall endeavor to do our best.

Also, we'll try to make the tech-tree completely original for every army to the complete extent of our skills. As for balancing, we will first try to make the armies fluff-oriented, and then balance those of the mod w/others of the mod. There PROBABLY won't any balancing between the mod's armies and the game's armies.

P.S. thanks for the complement of the DaemonHunters mod. I am one of several Campaign Designers for it. Also, please note that it is part of a greater mod, the Holy Orders of the Inquisition Mod. Therefore, we shall have Inquisitorial Ordos Malleus (DaemonHunters), Hereticus (Witch Hunters), and Xenos (Xeno Hunters - Xeno means "alien").
