Man, do I love Star Wars. I love it 'cause the first three movies were fantastic. The first two prequels were good movies, but not up to the Star Wars standard. Episode Three is gonna make up for that, though.
The main reason I love Star Wars, though, is because of its insanely deep and surprisingly consistent expanded universe. Zillions of different types of aliens, awesome space ships, a cool history about the Republic/Jedi and the Sith (which is a topic that, up until recent Star Wars history, has still dominated its political focus), sweet technology, lightsabers, its very own form of religion that is also surprisingly deep (play KotOR 2. Now.) make it, in my opinon, the best bit of Sci-Fi out there. The awesome thing is that enough people love Star Wars to keep writing new stuff for it (most of which is actually really cool), instead of just leave it and have it be forgotten.
I love Star Wars because it's fascinating in so many different ways, and it has many different facets of its universe that make it realistic, appealing...almost like it's something that really could be going on in some other galaxy.
Meh, I don't even know why I wrote that. Just felt like it, I guess.
