Quitters for any reason not welcomed. “0” tolerance. You plan for a 10 minute mission or you don’t play. If it’s a laggy game were going to have to Suck it up!
looking to set up a friends list to play most week nights (pacific time) 7-11. Optimatch
Just a few perquisites.
-Finished campaign in Heroic in single player
-Cool calm laid back attitude. Positive even in the face of defeat!
- Age25 and older
-Cooperative, Teamwork game play…ie don’t just run for the rockets and the sniper just so you can rack up kills. If you are going for Rockets and or sniper, its to aid in accomplishing the objective of the given map. We got a job to do. Below are the core tactics that will enable certain victory. There is a place for everyone in the Halls of Valhalla. Lets focus on our strengths. Take the position that bests suits your abilities.
Snipers and Rockets, once the designated sniper is established that’s it, Unless he is not performing his duty of “One shot One Kill” then you must step down and join the grunts.
Primary standing orders function – pick off enemy sniper if possible but do not go out of your way to do so. You mission is to PRIVIDE COVER for the teams ingress egress of the enemy base ONLY! Don’t waste ammo or time picking off enemy troops LIT “lost in The Sauce” that will not affect the outcome mission, period. One or two enemy troops that get by will be taken care of by base security. They need some action too. If you see the hog go by pick off gunner or the passenger leave the driver and let the Hog go, base security can finish the job. If sniping and rockets is your gig you know were to camp and were you can be most effective. Were going to need you to reach out and touch someone and pave the way in.
-Wraiths…Primary standing orders- take out the enemy wraith. Secondary, do what they were designed for! Rain down hell on their base from a distance not in front of their base. “SHOCK N AWE”. This locks them up in there base or they leave the base. When you shoot the mortars from a greater distance, this tends to make them come down, then form across. Aim to drop them inside the opening in the middle of the base as to were this is the campers are located. Makes for a real easy attack and great cover on the way out. It also offers back up for on the defense.
-Banshee, Worthless. Unless you’re a sniper and need the vantage point. It also makes a good block for ingress or egress for the home base. Other than that you are wasting an able foot soldier.
The Hog, their will be only ONE primary designated driver. This driver will poses all the skills necessary to pull off a real bank heist. You know who you are. Gunner will also know when to pull the trigger and when not too. Refer To, Sniper and Rockets Standing Orders, do not draw attention! Passenger, just got to hold on.
Ghost’s, I have seen some ghost pilots that can really dispatch ground troops quickly and effectively. Standing orders- provide suppressing fire to aid ingress egress of assault team assault team. Secondary orders, refer to, Sniper And Rockets Standing Orders.
Oh yes, and the ground pound’ers. Me and every one else. Grab your signature weapon!
Group up. Quick mission brief and move out, ALL TOGETHER. (exception to the Sniper)
Formation goes as follows: longest range weapon BR or sniper if not used for support. (coag, water). Up front supported by short range for surprises. When moving towards primary objective take all immediate threats in avenue of approach. don’t waste time with troops LIT’S, that’s just one we wont have to worry about when we get to the enemy base.
Move in slowly let the designated sniper pick off all he can that just out of range of magnums and plasmas. Take cover don’t get killed, alternate positions to let a fresh grunt get in action while your shields regenerate.
DO NOT GO IN GUNS BLAZING!!!!!!!!! Got to work it in. The only name you making for yourself is what your writing on your epitaph. “Here lies Forrest Gump,” “I just ran and ran….”
Keep dispersal!!! Don’t group up so tight that a single rocket or frag will disrupt momentum of the assault. But not so far that you can’t back up your comrades.
Ok so you got picked off, you re-spawned, take the most direct path back to the team with what weapon you got!
Do not got hunting for a preferred weapon! The valuable time you spend looking for a weapon your buddies are dying.
Cherry pick when you form back-up back with your squad grab what you want off of the dead enemy.
Next…
WE ARE NOT MIND READERS. COMMUNICATE ALL PERTINENT INFORMATION!
Snipers, let base security know how many marks are coming are way and from what direction.
Point-Man. Let everyone know what were walking into. I.e. how many troops what weapons we are facing and so on. Keep it short and sweet. Don’t tie up coms.
For example. “ 4 marks, 1 sword, 1 rocket behind corner” , “ loaded HOG, (not “warthog”) n banshee in route to base”. Of course this is the extreme when skirmishes get really intense, other wise, burn’em if you got’em.
Base security, always two, no more than three. It just depends how aggressive the enemy is.
Standing orders. Patrol the base, don’t camp inside. That’s how we lost the Alamo! Its much easier to pick them off at a distance with the BR. Move around in the immediate vicinity with your partner not far behind to back you up. Report all activity, Troop movements, how many and so on. The front line needs to know, especially the Sniper. He may need to reposition himself so he can provide support or to take the out the flag carrier on his way out. You need to let us know as soon as you know so we can respond accordingly.
