Earth is destroyed or Halo is activated. That would surprise the -blam!- out of me.

since the dude up there doesnt have an imagination, heres another way

it could be like that return of the king thing without the ghosts and weird people.
the MC and about 50 marines are hiding on the walls of one of there cities, the covenant have about 2000 literaly, that what you have to fight.they break down the city gate if you cant hold them off, all your marines scatter in few except for a select few, the covenant draw you back all the way to the end of the city and when all hope seem to be lost, a 100 pelican dropp down with tanks, fully boarded warthogs, and marines up the wazoo, while hell jumpers are falling from cammond ships in the air. the MC is saved to continue to the covenant home world and kill the covenant bastards

How can Halo be reactivated as its in hundreds of pieces in orbit around that Planet we see from the Pillar of Autumn.

I reckon the Mc and Earth will defeat the Covenant on Earth and the Covenant will retreat to regroup...

The we have anothe game Halo 3 in which we'll have to chase the covenant back to their home world and we destroy that.

Just a thought...

Bungie has already said that in Halo 2 there will be another Halo ring, so it is possible that one can be activated.

You get to travel to the covenant homeworld in Halo 2, so there goes that idea for Halo 3. Anyway, since you get to go to the covenants home planet, that will probably have something to do with Halo 2's big plot twist.

What if that wasnt the covennants homeplanet but an outpost like reach or just a place that the covenant live to help with THIER overpopulation like ours and in halo3 it happens again and finaly in halo4 you get to their homeworld....or do you?

There were 4 halo installations in the galaxy (3 now since the last one was destroyed) So imagine if one was activated, so the other 2 were activated killing everything out. However, they all have a limited range (even if its large, its still limited since there were 4 total installations for the whole galaxy) So ironically the earth and everything in somewhat close proximity to it were saved because the rings had just barely missed it.

How do you know they'd miss Earth? Chances are, it's nowhere near it. 1/4 of a chance earth is saved. My thoughts is that When the Chief gets to the "homeworld" he finds that it's just another world but the covies placed a nova. (found from reach and they disabled it) there to kill anyone who went there. Thusly the chief has another timed escape and the game ends. But I think that'd be cool. Even though it won't happen.

heres a plot twist for ya, that probably slipped by everyone. on the level in halo1 where theres a big hole in the bottom of the covenant ship. you have to fall out of the ship and make your way back on later......also at the beginning the cinematic is the one where cortana teleports the chif in upside down. i can't remember the name. cortana starts talking about how the covenant are trying to stop the flood from stealing their ship and flying off of halo. the covenant send down a troop to fend them off, and have all sorts of troops set up to stop the covenant from getting on. what are the odds that maybe some other covenant ship DID get overrun and the flood did make it off of halo using a covenant ship. now theres a plot twist, however it is somewhat repetitive of the old twist. maybe thats just a minor event.

Those aren't bad ideas, but bungie has been working on Halo 2 for over two years. And if those are some of the best twists they can come up with, then obviously they don't care about the stories plot as much as they say. But If I know bungie(which I do, I read the bio.) then there will be a twist that will blow us Halo fans sky high. It will be something we never would have thought up, something only the sickest mind in the world could even imagine. Something like, the master chief actualy being...a girl! Just kidding that would actualy be pretty cool...don't worry i'm not being racist. But really, bungie has put a lot of thought and dedication into the making of this game. And I'm positive that what ever twist they have planned, is sure to be an awsome one.

We find out that ONI and secret proproganda paint the Covenant as evil aliens that attack for no reason other than there zealous believe but what would be amazing plot twist is if it is found out that the covenant were being attacked by the UNSC ala half-life blue shift and then after the tides shifted they fabricated this whole thing up to rally support.

Actually, in a post a month back, someone did the math and got like 11 Halo rings altogether...how did he do it?

Galaxy measured in lightyears
-------------------------------------------- = # of Rings
Halo's range in lightyears
