Hopefully if they make longer levels(which they are every level will be 4 times the size of AOtcR) then they better make some of the levels more imteresting. like i mean something that you can play 30 times on different diffuiculties and its still fun and new. every part will be the "i cant wait to get to that part!" part. levels in halo were pretty good length if they were longer it would have become horribbly repetitive(LIBRARY, THE MAW to name a few) like i mean alot of the levels got relly boring and needed a chnge then jsut the same little fights over and over and over.....well whatever i think yu get my point.

The OXM June article stated that the levels would not only be about 5x larger but also have a lot more environmental "stuff" I cant remember the official word they coined, but anyway the Bungie crew were annoyed by criticism over Halo being a tad boring and repetitive in places, which I think was a fair call in reference to some of the indoor areas, so they are adding more crates, ammo boxes, leftovers etc etc to decrease the repetitiveness. I dont know how possible it is, but it would be awesome if enemies didnt always appear in the same place, or respawn in the same place, otherwise as people have mentioned having the same fights over and over again is no fun, which is why I found Rainbow Six 3 rather boring and repetitive in mission mode. Maybe H2 will be the first game in history to live up to the hype. Lets hope so.

I remember reading somewhere that there is a part in Halo 2 where there is a great expanse in which ALL of the geometry from Halo could fit within it...I can't really contemplate how big that is but it sounds like something on the scale of astronomically big.

Said in weekly update. SHORT POST REVOLUTION!!

In Halo I thought the intial length of the levels were pretty good. The only thing is there was only 10 levels and I'm sorry to say but because of rushing Bungie/Microsoft kind of got cheap. The last three levels were going back through previous levels that were somewhat altered.

checkpoints saved yer ass lots of time, imagine that you couldnt save until the final of the level. that would suck.

These last levels were repeated because they fit the storyline perfectly and created a very flowing cinematic experience. I would prefer going back to old places in the game that make sense rather than jumping to random places all over Halo.

****POSSIBLE SPOILERS****

In "The Flood" ( book ) I liked the part where the marines stole back all of those wart hogs, there were banshees tanks ( covie ) but all the marines had were warthogs, lots and lots of warthogs. Imagine being a gunner in that kind of position, nowhere to hide, you can't turn back you have to take them head on.By them, I mean ghosts, they had heaps of ghosts attacking them. It said something about trailors on the warthogs as well. I guess they were full of food, ammo and munitions. It makes you wonder, if the marines took heaps of warthogs, in "the maw" there were like 8 different 'hogs to choose from. Why didn't the marines take those ones???

A battle field like that would be cool, just desert, nowhere to go but forward.

Wow how OBVIOUS, halo 2 has got to be like 5,000,000,000,000 times better than driver 3, I got it monday night and sold it today.

I F ing love halo to death but how can you guys be so easy on there single player campainge. I mean There were some parts that were so good they gave me goose bumps, but to have only ten levels and at least 4 of those levels are the same just backwards thats rediculous. They should have been critisized and shamed into making some amazing maps. Im So excited about the MP, but i am also just as excited about the Campainge so they better get it right or i will -blam!-e down Jason Jones Throat

I played like every level on legendary by myself and I think the Library was actually pretty easy to beat compared to some of the other levels. I always got stuck in the first level with the stairs and the walkways with Covenant on them. While having a lot of vehicle levels is always cool I still like corridor shooting as well so I hope they don't skimpy on that.

As far as the levels being 5X bigger than Assault on the Control Room OMG I can't even begin to think how awesome Halo 2 is going to be. I say they should ditch having stupid demos on the disk, if they wanna give us demos put em on a seperate disk or something, Bungie should cram that DVD full until you can't cram anything more. Make campaign as long as they can, you can always download MP maps so I don't care if there's not that many, just give us our money's worth so we'll all love Halo 2 forever!
