i hope that this thread doesnt break any of the rules. i think that the village was one of the worst movies ever, although the worst movie of all time was mason hands of fate. but a movie that i did like was super troopers, it was hilarious!

You apparently haven't seen a movie by the name of Dark Harvest.

The short:

Teens go on a vacation to some guy's dead grandpa's house, and are attacked by purple zombie scarecrows, each looking exactly alike, and wielding a farmer tool of some kind.

Here's a quote:

"Lisa....

...

You've got to go...

get help...

Or I'm going...

...

To die..."

You're not going to like The Village if you were going to watch it as a cheezy horror movie. But on the other hand, If you were looking foor a good drama, you were in for a treat.

Aw dude I loved the village man. Maybe you went in looking to be scared. I didn't, and I loved it. It also has a lot of christian messages behind that someone like yourself might miss.

The Village could have been much better, I thought M Night Shamalongadingdong said he doesnt like showing the scary creature, but he did, and it would have kicked ass if in the very end they ended up being real, thats what I thought would have been cool, but you know its fake when the guy breaks out into a run after that girl, the -blam!- thing grew legs.
I wish it would have been more conspirastic, like make you argue afterward if the guy was actually retarded or not (I dont think he was) but hey what can say I over analize everything

Exactly, blame it on the previews, they made it out to be a horror movie. Stupid previews.

Signs was pretty bad. Aliens have a fear of water or it does damage to them so they decide to invade a planet who's surface is 75% covered by water.

Of films I have seen Pearl Harbour was quite -blam!-e. 2 hours of a boring, uninteresting romance, and then half an hour of reasonable action, but which didn't make up for the wait and was clearly badly researched. Cummon, those ships looked like modern destroyers, and the aircraft carriers were also modern, and the two main characters (forgotten who played them) were shown shooting down about 2/3 of the total planes the Japanese lost at Pearl Harbour. Tora, Tora, Tora was a better film about Pearl Harbour.

Worst love scenes I have seen though have to be any from the Whole Star wars series, though otherwise I enjoy them.

Le Mediocrity. It's fun when we win, and funny when we lose!

Godzilla. My friend and I were so pumped to watch it, and when we left the theater, he was genuinely angry. I mean, not in a joking kind of way, but really. Angry.

Ha ha stanman has been foiled by the great ferret. Soon he shall start a ferret army and take down the legions of the dark forces. ferret will be the leader and he will use his 1337 ferret skillz to end the fight once and for all.

or he just went home to sit on his ass watching conan and eating cheesy poofs.

Wait wait wait wait. Which Goddzilla? I assume you mean that crap New York version we Americans screwed up. You obviously don't mean those awesome Japanese ones! [/no sarcasm]

The one with Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, and Matthew Broderick. This is supposed to be action, not The Simpsons or Ferris Bueller.

I would never diss the original Japanese ones. I grew up on those.

Yeah that was the New York ones. I hated it! Heh, I watched a twelve hour Godzilla marathon once on the Sci-fi channel. That was great...

I'm getting angry thinking about how angry it made my good friend. I mean, little Godzilla's running around MSG? What is that?

They were clearly copying the Velociraptors from Jurrasic Park. Thought that as soon as I saw them.

And what was up with casting that chubby guy (speechwriter from "Dave") as a military leader? That guy was weak.
